The weather is pretty much in full summer swing by mid May, but without the scortching heat. Try the following sites for exact forecasts:

Personally i would suggest you to go to Santorini between June and 15 th of August. In Greek Islands, and especially Santorini you will face (probably) a lot of wind on May . Windy days are not so nice for this island as the main village , called Fira or Chora, is not at the sea level but a lot higher. So, until the middle of june a lot of coffee shops, restaurants are closed as the weather is not so pleasant. Also, Santorini was its tourist period basically on june, July and August, and i find the place a little bit melancholic on May. Finally, for sure it is not a month that you can enjoy a swim, except if you are a winter swimmer!

The weather in May will be perfect. Maybe a little cool for swimming but the flowers are at their best and a nice smell is all over the Island. Enjoy it.

I don't hink it is going to have winter weather on May at Santorini.Judging by the winter-or should I say spring-we are having now in Greece the summer must be a very warm one!Normally on May you won't get the best weather for summer vacations -mayby because it's spring- but my guess is that you'll be fine.Check the www.meteo.gr/ before you go just to make sure.

It will be fine, probably, warm and nice, but not a heat wave, you might need a jacket in the evening. The sea will still be cold, though.

Very nice, water at the beach a little cool, but you go in slowly and you'll be fine.
