Typical quarantine for the US is 6 months, provided that you can show a valid veterinarians note stating that the animal is up to date on all it's medical shots, and as long as the animal does not exhibit any strange or unusual behavior while in quarantine.
Lastly, be careful. A typical scam in that part of Africa is the dog buying scam - Free for the shipping! Remember they old saying "if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is." Don't fall for any Scams.
