Hi! i m doing a 4 year course in Australia and currently back in Singapore for holidays...and m thinking what to bring back...
In my first year, I brought pots and pans and discovered them to be cheaper in Australia!! And ditto for rice cookers and slow cookers; thank God I didn't bring those!!
But I have found some items like shoes and stationary to be much cheaper back home. What else did you bring back to Australia OR wished that you had brought?
Thanks for sharing!

I want to fly to Las Vegas leaving on a Friday and coming back on a Monday. I would like to fly out of either Columbus, Ohio, Cincinnati, Ohio or Huntington, WV airports. I need a roundtrip flight only for 2 adults. I would like to go anytime from now till the end of May. It doesn't matter if it is non-stop or not. I have never been to Vegas. Does anyone have any suggestions on the cheapest time (month) to go and any suggestions on a cheap flight?

I'm so incredibly angry. I'm travelling home from London (Paddington) to Newton Abbot (Devon) for my father's birthday. It will cost £63 for return ticket. This is obscenely expensive for a 2.5 hours journey each way. I am booking ONE MONTH ahead. Don't say coach - I'm not spending 5 hours travelling on a Friday night. Any secrets for bookig cheaper train tickets? - is it true the cheap tickets are released in 'batches' so it's just luck of the draw when you get cheaper tickets, rather than how far ahead you book? Advice please!
This is a journey I do often but it's never been this expensive before - never over £40 that I can recall.
This is a question about TRAINS - I'm not interested in alternative forms of transport, thanks. I like the train and I don't intend to get a car or use the coach. Thanks for any intelligent replies to this genuine question.

I currently live in a suburb of Detroit, Mi called Farmington Hills, Mi. The community is very diverse and culturally stimulating. I have also lived in Southfield, Mi which is also very diverse & culturally stimulating. I would like some info from people who have relocated from the Southfield, Farmington, Farmington Hills or West Bloomfield,Michigan area to Arizona. Who could tell me where are there nice suburbs to live in the Arizona area Phoenix, Mesa, Lake Havasu - any other suggestions??? Not over the top expensive but nice, quiet, safe suburban neighborhoods - family oriented & friendly. I would like to rent a house. Is rental housing very expensive in the suburbs? Also any other advice on moving to Arizona & living there? I do not know anyone living there so I will be going it alone. Also are there any groups or clubs from former Michiganders who have relocated to Arizona where you can meet & socialize with while I make new friends in Arizona. THANKS, REGINA :)

this question rose up among my buddies.
1. one of my friends said that a few, well chosen friends is best
2. another friend said if u have a lot of friends, you will be able to bring the ones on the wrong track to the right path.

who do you agree with and why?

I'm an 18 year old Canadian female taking time off before Uni to work and then travel on my own. I've saved up about $2000 so far and I'm anxious to leave. That's not a lot of money but if needed I could take out a loan from the bank. I'd like to be abroad for around a year and I know I'll need to work in some manner while away.

I've always wanted to go to Scotland- the highlands really. The trouble is how expensive the UK is. If I do go there I will be stuck working full time in a major city- cities not being what had appealed to me in the first place.

My other option is to go to China. It's not at the top of my 'countries-to-visit' list, but I want to go nearly everywhere. The cost of living can be very cheap and I could easily find work teaching english when needed. I'm not sure I'd want to be there a year though.

I want to grow and become more independant during my time away. Which country do you think would be best for me; Scotland or China?

Thanks :)
