Austin is a great place to live. My friends from Missouri who moved there totally love it.

I think this is the perfect time for your family to make a move. You can start fresh in high school and will have at least 4 years to make memories with your new friends. I have never been to Austin but it is the one town in Texas that I plan to visit when I do. It is supposed to be a very cool, hip place. For that reason alone, I think you will grow to appreciate it. Good Luck to you!

Austin, Texas schools are good and competitive as you said. I have heard that Round Rock schools in particular are good. My niece goes there and likes the schools.
