we are a family of five:
-mom
-dad
-thirteen year old
-two seven year olds
and we arent sure where we should go for our vacation. we are thinking sometime late august and we do not have a large budget, maybe six thousand (excluding airfare)

Try going on a cruise that docks at an island for a few days then back...I think discovery does that and they stop at the bahamas....There are fun activities to do at the island once you get there
Another is the popular disneyland...if you get your airfare now online and prebook the hotel as an early you get discounts...
Take a road trip instead...wisconsin dells maybe?
Or how about the decadent las vegas or maybe the ever popular cancun?

I would recommend a cruise but beware if you go on a caribbean cruise, late august is near the peak of hurricane season!

south padre island!!! is so much fun, i went with $1000 and had a blast parasailing, also went shopping with a guide in mexico, went sport fishing, got a great tan on the beach, i will be giong bak n july.

Well, the all time favorite is Disney, of course. Atlantis in the Bahamas is awesome, if you want a little more exotic.
