Scotland or China?

I'm an 18 year old girl and I want to be gone for a year on my own. I don't have a lot of money saved but would work while abroad. This will be my first time travelling.

Place your votes people :)

i must say china. forget about the slavery, its not like you live in middle east. china is a beautiful country, and yet the most developing country in the world nowadays. lots of places in china that u can visit. try shanghai and beijing.
everything made in china.. from jeans, shirts, shoes, ceramics, tools, everything..! shanghai has been one of the most futuristic buildings/structures and busiest city in the world. you will be amazed! i bet u will!! and china has the greatest view and oldest culture. it's interesting to learn and visit.
and its really cheap everything there.. u WILL Save your money Alot! trust me!
and you know.. the language is also becoming one of the most important languages in the world besides english and hmm.. france maybe?
if scotland.. well.. yeah.. u'll know whats there.. mountain, snow, and the ppl.. yeah.. typical right..
try different thing..

ps: u need a tour guide or at least a friend if u plan to go there.. :P
well.. at least you have to learn some of the mandarin languages before u go

MANY young people travel to and live in China for a temporary stay. It is always best whenever taking a temporary stay trip to a foreign country [not just a vacation] to 'hook up' with a service that assists you in locating work or an internship AND a sponsor home/family in that country.

Once you do that, the two countries you have chosen are wonderful options...both offering distinctly different experiences... according to YOUR preferences....why not do a search online and see what those two countries have to offer that you may be interested in and then make an informed choice :-)

Scotland. It will be more familiar to you, the entire country is civilized and you, it appears, speak the same language. Its too easy as a young person to simply disappear in china. God forbid you get in trouble there. Who knows if you'll ever get out of prison again.

I would say Scotland. I agree with a former commentor I don't think you would be safe traveling alone in China ,, too much selling people into slavery!

I have no idea about your present nationality, if you are european or American national then prefer to go to China as you will get lot of respect, love and work and above all, chance to learn a new language i.e. Chinese
