I don't weigh much but can only take on the same amount of weight as someone who weighs twice what I do. If it is all about how much weight can be allowed on the flight surely the allowance should be calculated inclusive of the person's weight plus that of the bags.

We're both in our mid-twenties and I'm a fairly accomplished traveler. I'm concerned that if we take a tour, we'll be doing the stereotypical tourist things w/out much time to venture out on our own. I think w/ a bit of research we can handle it ourselves but for those of you who've done Europe before, what do you think?

(We're planning on Italy, France and England)

England put their clocks (time) back 1 hour this last weekend, 28/29 October, so it will get dark earlier (by 1 hour) than it did last week and this will stay in place until the spring when the hour is put forward 1 hour for the summer months. My question is: did America do the same this weekend?

I have a band that needs to get from Paris to Rotterdam. Flying is too expensive, and I can't get a flight into Rotterdam. We'd rather not drive. What are the options for train or bus and what is the general price range? Thanks!

I have to ride the subway on Halloween night from JFK airport to Grand Central at nighttime. Is this dangerous for a female? What kinds of people are on the subway? Is it safe for a female to be riding the NY subway alone at night? I have never been to NY alone and am just concerned.
