Grand Turk

Grand Turk is spoiled for choices when it comes to beach options: Sunset strolls along miles of deserted beaches, picnics in secluded coves, beachcombing on the coralline sands, snorkeling around shallow coral heads close to shore, and admiring the impossibly turquoise-blue waters. Governor's Beach, a secluded crescent of powder-soft sand and shallow, calm turquoise waters that fronts the official British Governor's residence, called Waterloo, is framed by tall casuarina trees that provide plenty of natural shade. For more of a beachcombing experience, Little Bluff Point Beach, just west of the Grand Turk Lighthouse, is a low, limestone cliff-edged, shell-covered beach that looks out onto shallow waters, mangroves, and often flamingos, especially in spring and summer.
