Is it really dangerous to the average person to live in inner St. Louis? Do they mean the "highest murder rate" or actually the "most dangerous for the AVERAGE (white or black) person to live in"? There is a big difference. Most inner city murders are black on black gang murders. If you arent a black male gang member is it really that dangerous? If so isnt this very inaccurate and misleading by the media?

I am a Canadian national, and I am currently living in London. I have just finished my MA in the UK. I will be starting another course in London in January, a PhD. My current student visa expires in Jan, I will be going to Canada mid-December and returning in January - I was wondering if I have all the proper forms can I apply for another student visa WITHIN the UK, or do I have to apply in Canada? Is the traffic horrible, or do they get it moving fairly quickly? I will be continuing on to the BQE into Brooklyn (not far). The bridge re-opens at 11 AM and I need to make it to an appointment by noon. Would you risk it or spend the morning going into Manhatten from NJ and taking mass transit, just to be sure??
