Im going to Dublin, Edinburgh and London with my brother (6 foot tall dude).
But what Im scared about is sleeping in a dorm style hostel and having creepy tourists stare at at me sleeping. Or anything! It sounds concieted but its not. Im just scared of being creeped out while I sleep in a room with peope I dont even know. Does this happen?

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone out there is from Cordele. I was born there but live elsewhere now. I'm trying to find anyone who remembers some of the places there in the 1960's. My aunt lived & worked at the old Swuanne Hotel. I also remember the old Crisp Theater. If anyone out there knows of these places, please let me know. Thanks!

And before people start automatically blaming apartheid - folks that ended 12 years ago. Actually, it was pretty much done by the late eighties.
At which point does the present government take responsibility for its actions and realise that the buck stops with them?
But then again, it's always someone else's fault.

It's amusing, but also saddening to read the questions on this forum 'Is it safe to go to Sandton?', or 'Is it safe to take a bus to the airport?' Fifteen years ago that woud never have been an issue - for white and black alike.
Those questions have to be asked, however, because the so-called police force in South Africa is just as corrupt and inept as the present government.

I remember asking naive white people in South Africa many years ago why they thought that South Africa would be different from the rest of Africa when black majority rule came.
They just 'knew' it would be.
I wonder how many of them have been robbed, and how many times.

I stared smoking the imported Marlboro cigarettes in Korea in 2002 and then Korea started making their own Marlboro. This is what the store owners told me when I complained about the diifferent taste. Does the Korean made cigarette taste different to you and is it even legal to make a cigarette under the same name but with different methods? Or is it just my imagination? Or was I misinformed?
