I have an old address and phone number of a friend in Japan I lost contact with about 6 years ago. I tried sending a letter and it was returned, I called and it was a different person. So I am sure that my friend moved. Now that I am in Japan I really want to meet. Is there any way to find my friend? Maybe the city office where they lived can tell me where they moved to? I searched the name through yahoo and google but found nothing. Thank you for trying to help!

I am living in the Midwest where the cost of living is cheap. The wages are alright. I may have to move to the Sacramento area, however. I have family there that can help. But I don't want to sponge off of them. THey keep telling me that although it may cost more to live there than where I am at, there are opportunities there. My employment skills are: cashier, pharm tech, production/ assembler. This is all I know. So to me that would make my options for employment rather slim. And so I feel a bit discouraged when I think of considering the move. My family says that I am just making up excuses. I really do want to be closer to family and have their help if I need it. But I don't want to be stuck in a rut of not being able to make ends meet. Any information on these areas would be beneficial. Especially regarding cost of living and employment opprtunities. Thanks.

Hi, I am considering visitng a friend in the U.K, around Manchester or so. Rather than flying all the way, I thought a one way cruise or boat trip would be nice. I am not looking for a 7 day RoundTrip cruise, unless I can get off where I need to and finish the return home when readywetehr it is weeks or more down the road.
Problem is, I have been unable to find any sights, companies, prices, etc to attmept planning such an endeavor.
For a RT flight, with a stopover in Boston, was around $550. I still think a boat would be a much nicer, while much longer trip. Cost is a factor as well as the type of ship. I don't want to sail over on a cargo ship :)
Never been on a cruise, never been to the U.K. This is a huge adventure I am looking forward to.
Any and all suggestions on this topic are quite welcome, and appreciated. TY

When I tried to track my ancestry, I found that one of my GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT... (actually, I'm not so sure how many great there are) grandfather was from GREAT Britain. That's why now I'm kinda curious about it. My ancestor there was also a scientist... an alchemist or kind of that.

If I had the chance, I want to visit my distand homeland. I want to meet the true English Gentleman image there... where could I see that and experience it myself?

Hello. We are going to try and move back to Georgia next year and old friends have told me how much towns have changed outside of Atlanta. (as far as crime skyrocketing in a lot of areas) I grew up in Rockdale County which I've heard has gone downhill. What areas would you recommend? I just want an area that is lower in crime, but not a fortune to live in, with decent jobs available. I have not been back to Georgia in 16 years since we moved to Illinois so I have no idea what certain areas are like anymore. Does anyone know what College Park is like now? Thankyou for your help. : )
