I don't think the concept of colonisation can take place these days. The concept of globalisation, where we 'respect' and 'kowtow' to USA products and people, is a better way to describe the affluence of US to a country like Singapore.

No, its not going to be any better for USA to colonise Singapore. USA has problems with discipline and unrestricted freedom judging by their high crime rate and exaggerated human rights.


I like Singapore just the way it is.

There is no reason why the US should colonize Singapore. It is a strong and stable ally in SE Asia. The two countries are friends and work well together. The US has enough problems and enough wars. It should keep the few friends that it has.

What for? Don't think the US would be interested. No oil reserve in Singapore. Or if there is, may not be enough to spark an invasion.

Before USA do that, I think you should consider Japan instead. Since Japan is widely known to be US 51st state.
