london weather, average spending on meals ?

i will be going to london next week for 2 weeks. want to know, how's the weather in london now? is it cold? and advise on how much to bring for expenditure (excl accomodation). is transportation very expensive in london?

today the weather is 27c and has been around 25c for the past few days - yet will probly average to around 20 in the coming week

transport - by tube: a day travel card from zones 1-4 (the central zones) costs £5.60

you could buy an oyester card for 3 pound whilst your here - and travel generally costs half as much

Taxis - black cabs are expensive and mini cabs arent that far behind yet you can barter with them and get them down easier. taxi tariffs rise after midnight. I pay 35quid to get home from central london when i go there.

Busses: a single fare ona bus is £1.50 - there are no return tickets

MEALS: not too expensive but take enough. id say £10-£15 main course £5-£8 starter average. but there alot of really nice restraunts that charge no where near that. just depends on where you look

a pint of lager or beer will set you back around about £2.50 in some chain pubs - maybe £5 in exclusive places

If you are coming from the U.S., you will find prices high, because the dollar isn't doing well against the pound. I was there a couple of months ago and had the experience of going into a Thai restaurant and wondering why all the young people around me could afford multicourse dinners, while soup and rice exhausted my budget. Then, of course, I realized that the pound was still the pound for them, but because the dollar had slipped, everything cost me far more than it had in the past. Cheap Indian fast food was about $8. I thought local transportation was affordable, but found the trains high - the group I was with, not normally cheap and perfectly willing to take the train on the Continent, chose to take the bus when we traveled outside of London.

The weather will be freezing, grey and miserable so you will want loads more money than that to cheer yourself up! (I live near Goldcoast Australia so I love the sunshine.) 30 pounds is nothing in London. A daily tube pass is about 5 pounds, a beer is about 3 and lunch will set you back 15 pound. The sights are great but take an umbrella.

today in london is hot and sunny but maybe in two week could be a little cold transportation is very expensive but you can buy a packet of ticket 80 pence for a single one when on bus you pay 1.50 for bus or buy a bus travel card for a week if you don't use underground.
There are a lot restaurant in central london where a tourist meal is about 7 pond the same price in pubs like fish and cips in soho a lot of nice chinese restaurant bye bye have a nice holiday

You may need some warm cloths. Don't forget a hat and an umbrella! There should be rainy these days.
It would be better for you to use underground everyday and let me inform you that a day ticket costs 6.3 pounds!!!!!!!! It works 8am to 11pm and if you reach there later you should take a taxi which costs 40 pounds!
A subway sandwich costs 5 pounds while you can find a frozen pizza in Island for just 1 pound... for this one you need an oven!!!!

Weather is good around this month, just get some warm clothes with you, on an average 100-200 £ per week depending on your spending habits, just avoid big hotels and restruarants and buy Oster card when you are here, it will saves a lot of money https://sales.oystercard.com/oyster/lul/entry.do and also check out www.londontown.com (for offers and coupons for food etc)

the weather is good, just in case have some warm item with you, I hope that you bring lots of money, to eat out, money honey gas is about $6 per gall, so you know the taxis are going to be high, McDonald $8 to $10.
