I would love suggestions that aren't just the normal museums/galleries/places to eat that are in the guidebooks - something different that tourists might not necessarily know about.

I have booked 5 nights in New York next February, my wife and 2 teenagers will be coming along, I need some recommendations on good places to go and see and interesting things to do apart from shop and eat,

we will be doing the obvious sightseeing (Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, Empire State etc) but would also like to see other interesting places not always on the main tourist trails

all these car hire companies are asking for passports, proof of address and all kinds of other nonsense, unheard of in other countries. are there any car hire companies left in the uk that only require a licence and credit card?

I'm writing an article on the major historical sights in Egypt. I have enough information on the major Islamic monuments like Al Azhar Mosque and others, but I really need help discovering more major Christian historical churches and important places. I already know about The St. Marcos Church in Alexandria and St. Catherine's Monastery.

I own a house in the KCMO area, and I would like to rent it out to someone on section 8 (eventually). Is there a website, or someone I can contact to find their requirements? The house is in excellent condition, but I know they require certain "amenities" for section 8. Thanks

I'm open to alternatives - please explain your reasons. I'm looking for a mixture of relaxing and sightseeing. I'm going with my mate who doesn't like lying on a beach all day (where as I do) so we're trying to get the best of both.

I don't want wooden shoes or tulips. I'd like something I could display in my home.

Has anyone stayed in Morocco with a Moroccan family? What was the experience like? I'm referring to the big cities of Morocco (Fes, Marrakech, Rabat), not the smaller Berber villages.

G'day, i am a drywall plasterer currently working in australia. I am looking for a change of scenery and hopefully some well paid work. Anyone who can tell me about plastering or building in there local area will receive two thumbs up and a beer drunk for them right here in aussie!!
(especially if you live in a cool place with nice chicks and nightlife!)
Cheers, Jake.
