Not at all - I was in New York 2 years ago and flew out of there on September 11th, I have to say I have never felt safer in any other big city. Airport security is still quite tight and will probably be even tighter at that time of year, so it's probably safer than ever. Don't panic and enjoy New York!!

A SHORT STORY
Following 9/11 when our daughter was nearby, I supported her flying to California. When we booked a tip to Seattle I was worried, until I realized that if there was reason for fear, I wouldnt have sent her.
We all live here and have not thought of anything happening. Fear is like a poison that grows.

YES. Its normal to worry about flying, dont linger on it though. In terms of 9/11, the security of all aircraft to/from the USA will no doubt be the best its ever been.
