Travel - 19 August 2006

We are flying to Split, Croatia in September for a week. we have no plans, no hotels,. What would you recommend doing? Where should we go, how should we get there? Where should we stay?

We won't want to sit on a beach for full week. We want to do a bit over everything.

Hi,
I am goin' to Prince Edward Island on next Friday. I will take Acadian bus. I will arrive on Belvedere AVE in Charlottetown; however, my hotel is located on Grafton street. Is there any local bus which can take me to my hotel???

Moreover, I am also goin' to visit 3 museums and PEI national Park of Canada, but i don't know how to get there from my Hotel. Could anyone help me with that?
These are three museums which I am goin' to visit: Beaconsfield Historic House, Eptek Art and Culture Centure, and Green Park Shipbuilding Museum

I would like to take local bus, cause I can't drive!!!

How bad were the cemeteries hit in New Orleans by Katrina? Are there still tours of the area? I want to travel around the Halloween season, any interesting places related to ghosts,etc.? I have looked up in the phone book for information and also went to AAA for a Canadian Passport picture. Canada is so fussy about the picture size and infinite details that AAA will not do it. HELP!

I am moving to a new state and had planned to mail most of my clothing. I packed them in two cardboard boxes sealed with packing tape. In one of the boxes is a framed painting. But now, I've decided to just check these two big boxes on the airplane because they are too big and heavy to mail (too expensive). But now I'm worried that if I check them on the plane, will they have to open up the boxes? I'm worried about the painting that is inside one of the boxes--that it will get damaged if someone rummages through my boxes, and also I'm wondering whether they will let me check the boxes on the plane at all. I know that if you have locks on your luggage, they break open the locks, but what about sealed cardboard boxes?
