st werburghs is not the best of places to be staying, it can be a bit rough, the area is known for drugs, so a lot of the guest houses and b&b's are actually places where the council home all the addicts, and down & outs, so be careful.

My advice is if you have a car, there are better places to stay than that area, central bristol has a few places, like the travel lodge right in the heart of town, about 10 mins from st werburghs.

I would advise you try and get somewhere central bristol rather than in st werburghs, or you may find your car jacked up with no wheels or totally gone in the morning!!!

These are central bristol & 10 mins from st werburghs..

There are some really rough areas of bristol, (and some lovely ones too!) without knowing the area well, I would stick to one of the larger chains of cheap hotels if u can, like I say, a lot of guesthouses are just places for the addicts and alcoholics, and you cant tell by the name, so they arent exactly the sort of place you want to accidentally book a room!

Have a look on the internet, by all means email me if you want to know how far somewhere is from st werburghs.

I'd also have to say that St Werburghs is not the nicest place to stay (although it is improving).
Whenever I'm in the office I cycle through the area on the way to work and can honestly say I've never seen any guesthouses there.
I assume you want to stay in a guesthouse rather than a hotel? If so, I suggest looking somewhere along Gloucester Road (in the Bishopston/Horfield/Filton areas). It is not that far from St Werberghs (I would guess a 10-15 minute walk), and is a much more pleasant environment.

if i was you i,d go to the City Inn Bristol, Temple way., Bristol. which is right by Bristol train station and city centre. a ten min drive to st werbergs .
For two night cost around £120 for room two single beds , TV ,DVD , all hotel facilities. .
or try Clifton lots up there probably bit cheaper than city inn .

I used to flow to Bristol coaching many years in the past, and maximum lodging there is astronomically priced. It feels like self-catering, yet which provides you with more beneficial freedom. images educate a delightful enviroment. purely reservation i might want to have is area. i do not recognize the section shown on the map. It says widely used bus service to city centre, yet Temple Meads is a honest stroll out. relies upon if lodging is Temple Meads section, or different fringe of Bristol.

Like everyone else has said, you won't find any guest houses in the St. Werburgh's area, as nobody in their right mind would want to stay there!

Another (nice) area to try is Clifton (BS8), although there tends to be more hotels there, and may be more expensive.

St Werbughs isn't far from the centre of town. What are you after cheap and cheerful or something a bit nicer?
If cheap I'd go for Welcome Inn or Travelodge, loads of those in Bristol. If not, try something in Clifton its gorgeous up there.
Hope you have a nice time!

You can see places on the web version of Yellow Pages here:

http://www.yell.com/ucs/UcsSearchAction.do?scrambleSeed=79542148&ooascrambleSeed=18668634&slscrambleSeed=28595214&keywords=bed+and+breakfast&companyName=&location=bristol&search=SEARCH&searchType=classic

It's easier if you know the postcode of the place you need to be close to as Yell will narrow it down further for you then!

I used to live in Durham (city)! :-)
