I have looked up in the phone book for information and also went to AAA for a Canadian Passport picture. Canada is so fussy about the picture size and infinite details that AAA will not do it. HELP!

I don't know where in SBCGlobal's area you are but if the American's can't cope with the Canadian sizing (and the problem likely is that they refuse to figure out the metric versus Imperial dimensions) then are you close enough to the border to hop over to a Black's or any other camera shop? Don't forget that you also need guarantor information and are there people in your area that qualify?

If the photo dimensions aren't different from the U.S. passport you should have no trouble using the photo taken at any camera shop or Costco. Just tell them not to stamp the back so that you can write the Canadian stuff on the back.

And remember, don't be showing your teeth in the photo. It sounds like you have all the detailed information so you should be able to work this out. If necessary, check the Passport Canada website at http://www.ppt.gc.ca

When I needed a passport picture, I took a picture taken with a digital camera and sent it to an outfit on line, that generates the right type and size picture from that.

That's because Canadian passports are for Canadians. Canadians live in Canada and use Canadian photographers.

I'm assuming you are in Canada despite the fact that you called it AAA and not CAA. Go to a local Black's store or Japan Camera - they always do them.

Did you really look hard? Japan Camera, most photographers, Walmart.

Check with your local post office. You can get passports done there and those should be acceptable photos.

Are there no photo kiosk where you live. They give you choices, passport size or other size
