Travel - 17 August 2006

I've never been to Japan. I'm 17 and would like to go the summer of my senior year alone because noone is interested in going with me. I've always wanted to climb Mount.Fji, i'm not sure why but something about this mountain fascinates me. Are there any things i should be aware of? Any helpful advice is appreciated.

We are of to Disney Orlando next October and there are about 6 families so from time to time we will get seperated when we are at the attractions whats the best way to keep in contact with each other walky talky or do we take a mobile for each group
and use local sim
are there calls cheaper than ours

I've been comparing wages, real estate prices, gas, etc., and the cost of living is staggering. The jobs in Toronto are comparable in pay to where I live, but the cost of everything else is tremendous. Surely not everyone in Toronto is making $100k or more? How does a single person on a modest salary (about $50k) afford housing, taxes, transportation, etc. in Toronto? It seems like most properties are $250k and up in decent neighborhoods. I'd really rather not rent.
