Visiting Chicago from out-of-state from Dec. 30th to Jan. 1st. Three couples; so not looking for romantic fun. Would like to hear some live music, drink some affordable drinks, and have a blast until early a.m.

We have booked 3 nights in San Francisco, 4 nights in Mariposa, but then can't decide what to do with the remaining 6 before we return the rental car to SFO. 2 adults travelling, keen explorers unafraid of exercise.

My husband and I will be going to Pioria for a wedding in August. We are flying into Chicago. We have some free time. Any suggestions for things to do/see in about 4 hours or so.....more time in Pioria. This is a serious question, anyone with silly sexual comments can keep them---I already know about all THOSE things to do!

I'll be making a long trip overseas, and was wondering if sealed containers of shampoo and conditioners will leak/implode from being checked as luggage in the cargo bay of an airplane. I've heard that loosening the caps might help this. Does anyone know if this is true? Will my sealed containers be okay on the plane? Any advice on how to prevent this? Thanks!

We're 21 so to rent a car is very expensive as most car companies only rent to 25 or older. the companies who will rent to us charge by the mile. any affordable alternatives?

I like outdoor sports (kayaking, sailing, hiking, etc.), want a downtown that's walkable and nice, lots of young professionals (30s), good quality of life and lots of culture. Affordability is an issue, but hopefully the job market will offset that. Must be west/west coast. I've taken all those tests and they are based on statistics. I want real answers from real people.

Does anyone have any ideas about the top 10 places to visit in this world? If you had to make a list of places, what would they be and why? So far, my list only has 4 real contenders which are:

Nigara Falls - as its probably one of the greatest sites ever
The Grand Canyon - same as above
Hawaii - just for the beach party
Tahiti - as I love scuba diving

What would be your top 10 and why?

I'm from USA. I can speak a good amount of german. I'm going in the summer around July or August (next year)But what I'm wondering is..
What should I pack?
How much money should I bring?
What are some good places to go to? (i am mainly going up north, but might go down south too.)
What about their phone/internet services?
Whens the raining season?
How far apart is their time zone(I'm in PA)?
Any good scenic places/ family places? ( 2 adults 2 teenagers going)
Any bad places?
Is it easy to make friends with native germans?
Any good tourist websites?
Anything else i forgot?

Thank you so much!
