I want to go ASAP, but of course, it'll take some time to raise the funds. I am currently 13. I do not want to wait past the time I am 18, but what would be the best time to go? How much of the Japanese language should I learn? Is there anything else I should know? Do they even speak English in Japan frequently? I ask a lot of questions, don't I?

If you don't know, please don't answer this question. Thank you.

We are going next month, so they need to be summer activities.

I am going to be living in Florence for five months starting in late August as an art student studying marble carving and metalsmithing. Needless to say I won't have alot of money. Can someone please tell me where I can find 1) cheap food, and 2) carving supplies - chisels, et cetera?

Also, is there a good place to ship things like smallish marble statues back to the USA without costing a fortune?

I know most people would rather visit the islands, but I'm accompanying my husband on a business trip. So while he's busy with work, is there anything in or around Lavrio that I can do?

I've always associated Daytona with Spring Break but we were given a free hotel stay there so we decided to make a vacation of it.

My sisters and I are planning a road trip for this summer, and are considering Route 66 as a potential route. I know it sounds cliche, but we also want to visit little towns and stuff. Any suggestions on where to stop? Or places to visit, or sites to see?

Thank you all for answering, it is greatly appreciated. ☻

I am traveling to India for the first time, primarily for business. But as a relative beginner to Yoga, I figure this is the best time to really experience the truest Yoga experience instead of the Americanized one.

Can you recommend a place when I can go on a day long retreat in or near Pune where I can meditate or practice Yoga with instruction or guidance? I am a total white-guy, English only speaker but don't necessarily want a place that caters to Americans or tourists. I just want to be safe and comfortable.

Thanks for your help. I am really looking forward to my first trip to India.

I have an unlocked GSM phone that I have used in Europe successfully. I am wondering if I should try to buy a prepaid SIM card here in the US before I leave, or is it easier or cheaper to buy one once I arrive in Bombay. Will also travel to Pune so I want it to work there as well.
