♡It's nice that you want to come to Japan. It's a beautiful country to visit. I've lived here almost 9 years and love it. Will you be coming to work, study or...? If so, you have to get all the CORRECT info BEFORE you come. (Check the MOFA site I listed.) I would advise you to wait until you're older because you'll be able to understand the way things are done here better. I think 18 and up is a good age. In the meantime start saving your extra money for the flight, place to stay, food, transportation, sightseeing and so on. Learn as much of the language as you can, it will make your trip easier, especially if you're traveling alone! Try these sites to start:♡

Some people speak English, but don't count on it. If you'll be in Japan, try learning the language. Hope this helps and I hope you make it to Japan someday soon!♡

You will need a lot of money to live in Japan. If you plan on working there, you will need to know at least converational Japanese to get a good position. I would recommend that you have a solid plan before you go. Teaching English is the best work. There is also modeling. But that is tougher to get into. Most everyone in Japan knows a little english though. Study up on the culture, mannerisms, and language so that you know enough BEFORE you get there. Good luck!

what do you want to do in Japan? if you want to get a job you have to speak Japanese fluently or you have to have a 4 year degree to teach English. i have lived in japan for 2 years as an English teacher and i speak some Japanese outside of work. it would be good if you start studying kanji or kana so you can read the signs. you might study some of the language and try to get into any college as an exchange student or something. that might be easier for you...

Why don't you try the home stay program. Many students are travelling in this kind of programs offered by schools or in your community. In this trip, you could meet lots of people like you who are interested in Japanese culture. Or if you know any international school near your area you may find Japanese students and make friends with them to practice speaking. the best time to go is when you are ready and prepared and your parents allowed you to go because you are still minor. If your parents or guardian to be with you, you can go anytime. It is good to ask questions, that's why we are all here asking and answering,, you are doing fine.. anyways , good luck! They like to learn English so it would be good to have an exchange language friend while waiting for this moment for you to go there. good luck !

first of all, i think you might be a little young to be travelling alone to a distant country, don't you? why don't you want to wait? what's so important? (i know japan is totally awesome though). and yes, they do speak english there (at least the more developed regions do). they tend to learn languages far earlier in school than we do over here. hope that answers some of your questions! :)

Try to make Japanese friends. You can go to Japan with him/her when he/she goes back to Japan. Are there any Japanese around you? If not, find them on the net and ask them if you can visit them.
