You cannot drive through the jungle between Panama and Colombia, but there are many highways linking the S American countries. Enjoy!

Theoretically, the Pan American Highway runs all the way down to Argentina. However, in reality, you won't get any farther than Panama. Once on the S. side of the canal, it is nothing but dense jungle.

That said, taking a car from one country to the other is a bureaucratic nightmare.

I wouldn't try it.

I know the airlines are a bit pricey...but it will be money well spent.
