Alright we have a medicore manager at best and a GM that is suceeded because of young talent that was there before he came to L.A (Russell Martin, James Loney, Matt Kemp, ext) But now that we are starting to slip away in the race and we are missing two starters (Our ace Jason Schmidt and Randy Wolf) we just need a pitching rental and a veteran presence on the club. I dunno I think signing Boomer makes perfect sense.

Suppose NASCAR had majors, like Golf and Tennis. Daytona 500, Brickyard 400, Coca-Cola 600 and Talladega 500. Do you think it would help?

he make the Hall of Fame? So far in his 7 year MLB career, the 33 year old Ichiro has 1,510 hits and is a career .343 hitter, and has 6 gold gloves in center and right field. He recently signed a 5 year extension with the Mariners through 2012 for 90 million, and he said he wants to play 5 more years after that, so that is 10 more seasons, so, 17 total. I believe he will retire in 2017 at the age of 43, with 3,541 career hits, and a .330 career BA and with 13 gold gloves. And will be a first ballot Hall of Famer in 2023, what do you think?

398 HR's, 1,266 RBI's and .265 career BA. He was a 2 time MVP - 1982 & 1983, 7 time All Star, and 5 time gold glover. Murphy mostly played outfield for the Braves, but also played for the Phillies and Rockies, he also played catcher and 1B. His number 3 was retired by the Braves, and he was a very clean guy, no drinking, drugs, he's a mormon. Even though he played in parts of 18 seasons, the first 2 and last 2 he barely played any games, so he really only played 14 full seasons. He was dominant during the 80's. His career number are right up there with Hall of Famer Reds Catcher/First Baseman Johnny Bench - 17 year career - 1967-1983 - 2,048 hits, 389 HR's, 1,376 RBI's and .267 lifetime hitter. What got Bench in was the fact he was on the Big Red Machine and won 3 World Series titles vs. none for Murphy, who was on some pretty bad Braves teams. I say vote him in, what do you think? And I think it's great he has been outspoken against steroids and Barry Bonds HR record.

The Houston Colt .45s (later Astros) had a clubhouse guy nicknamed "Murph." Anyone know who he is?

I once had the pleasure of dining with the great Rusty Staub who told a humorous story about his early days with the Colts. It featured a character named Murph who Staub simply called a "clubhouse guy." It seems that when the players would grow tired of autographing articles passed to them in the dugout or clubhouse, they'd give them to Murph to sign. After awhile, Murph had mastered all of their signatures! Who the heck is Murph? Any clue?

I have a hard time listening to female sports anchors and sideline reporters. I have a hard time giving them the same respect as I do males. I also can't stand listening to female sports talk radio. Anyone else agree???

Im curious compared to his total at bats if my figures are correct Babe had 8399 abs, where as Hank had an amazing 12000+ and bonds haz more than 9000 so technically then comparing there ab seems the only logical way to see who hit more in less time Ruth had far more than anybody Im I correct? Why do so many disregard this?

I have asked this question before but no one seems to know.

I have spent so much time looking for the answer online I am ashamed to post it online.

I am trying to find the trigger pull for a standered factory Double-Action Colt Annaconda.

I would like to know what the weight of the trigger pull is in Double-Action mode (Pulling the trigger to fire) and what it is in Single-Action mode (Pulling the trigger to fire with hammer already up)

I would like the answer in pounds.

I do not have a device to measure it and it has been driving me crazy.

Also, I have noticed in a few gun articles that writers will sometimes refer to a weapon's trigger pull as "smooth".

What does that mean?

If two different weapons are the exact same weight, size, caliber, action, with the exact same trigger pull weight would the feel of pulling the trigger be different for one than the other?

If it is different is it better to be smooth, or not.

What does "a smooth trigger pull" mean?

i think they aren't going to win it everyone is already picking them to win it all but we seen time and time again that the teams with the most talent dont always win it all
