India cannot lose from this position.
Where England went wrong? Perhaps Prior had a very poor test.
For India every one reached double figures. If only Kumble had not scored a Ton it would have been a 600+ with no century.Your views please.

Take This Survey and Find Out Mine Was:

You are slightly traditional in your wrestling beliefs. You mildly accept the idea of sports-entertainment but believe that wrestling is still a sport and must have some legitimacy.

In all of sports, not just football (The General-Sports forum is crap).

Al Michaels' call at the 1980 Olympics

Joe Starkey's call of the Play, 1982 Cal/Stanford

Jack Buck's call of Kirk Gibson's walk-off World Series homerun

Or some other call I neglected to mention

They have the best team in the sport, and despite all the doping problems in cycling (not with this team even) someone has to want to be involved with them, right?

2 guys were playing in a match head to head. They were paired with 2 other guys to make a 4 - some on a public course. The 2 guys in a match were on the putting green. All 4 balls were on the green. One guy in the match puts and hits one of the balls that's not in the mtach. A 2 stroke penalty and loss of hole was caused due to the player in the match not telling the other guy who isn't in the match to mark his ball on the putting green.

What are the rules for hitting a ball that is in a match and isn't in a match on the green from both putting and also the fairway?

During the time of Babe Ruth, when a ball hit the ground and went over the fence, was that considered a home run???

2007-08-10 04:49:44 · 16 answers · asked by jr2007 4 in Baseball

he has hit, 376 HR's, 2,062 hits, 410 Doubles, 1,260 RBI's and .306 BA. Plus he's a switch hitter and it always looks good playing your entire career for one team, I don't care what people say to disagree with that, the writers like that. The only knock against him is he has played in the steroid era, and thus, that might stigmatize him. Did Chipper juice? who knows.

because the DH is a position, he should get in just like players who play the field. Edgar Martinez, Ted Williams, Babe Ruth, Stan Musial, Roger Hornsby and Lou Gehrig are the only players in MLB history with over 300 career HR's, 500 doubles, a career batting average .300 or higher, a career on-base percentage higher than .400 and a career slugging percentage higher than .500. Plus Edgar played his entire career - 1987-2004 with one team, the Seattle Mariners, which always looks good on paper. His career batting average was .312, 309 HR's, 1,261 RBI's, and 2,247 hits. And lets not forget, he played 591 games at 3B and 1B, besides his 1,412 games as DH. He was never involved in contract disputes, personal scandals, drug allegations or anything. He was a consumate professional and a great family man, role model of kids and the greater Seattle area. The HOF should honor those traits as well. I would say, he deserves it more than Baines. Also, Edgar won 2 batting titles.

Seriously. Have you seen these shirts and hats? They're always so gawdy and tacky. They just look awful. I'm a NASCAR fan, but I wouldn't be caught dead in public wearing one of my drivers shirts. Loud logos and designs all over them. It's just ugly. Why don't retailers try to simplify the designs to sell more merchandise?

Someone just asked a question about baseball writers, and it made me think about this. Personally, I like Gammons, Ken Rosenthal, a couple of guys at Prospectus (the ones who actually have a flare for writing) and Studeman at the Hardball Times.

On the bad side, I can't stand most of what Buster Olney writes (but I liked his book), Skip Bayless on any sport, and Dan Shaughnessy, who might be the worst sportswriter at any major newspaper. I'm also not a big fan of Jeff Passan here on Yahoo. As for the TV guys, John Kruk, Steve Phillips and Joe Morgan are about 99% hot air.

Your likes and dislikes?
