or is it like Philly where my girlfriend would get mobbed/beaten for wearing an opposing team jersey?

I've been to Packers-Lions games where half the crowd seemed to be wearing Green Bay jerseys, so I don't think you have much to worry about. Lions fans might not like it, but they're not generally a bunch of thugs. It's not like wearing it in Philly or Oakland.

I went to the Eagle/Packers game last year wearing the green and gold, and let me tell you Philly is not the city of brotherly love no matter who you are... I swear with fans like that who needs enemies... I remember I had just entered the stadium and the game had just started, and two eagles fans came busting out of the mens-room beating each other up, I kid you not.. I was like ohhh boy what terrible mistake have I made.. Then the was the guy behind me calling everyone from the cheerleaders to his own players all kinds of creative names.. I even had second thoughts about going to the restroom at one point... But hey... The Pack family is big, and loving, so there are always plenty of fans around... I mean I eventully did hit the john, and to tell you the truth, maybe it was the fact that the Jersey I had on was a custom one, but really the fans aren't going to start a fight with you.. Though the Pack did loose that game, and I do remember thinking that if Green was ahead that I probably should leave a little early.. I mean you have to expect the swearing, and normal drunken stupidity that goes along with being a diehard fan, so just don't go with your girlfriend unless she can take care of herself... Se la vie... I'm going to Pittsburg tomorrow....

Lmao.....Lions fans may give you a few looks...but thats about all....You'll be fine.... By the end of the game....one of those Lions fans just might offer you some cold hard cash to BUY that jersey from you so they're not mobbed/beaten after the game LOL

My friend is a Packers fan and we took her to a game last year at Ford Field.. You might get a sneer or a bad look, but overall, Lions Fans are accommodating and friendly to fellow NFC North Fans.

Just dont be the ULTRA LOUD Packers fan sitting behind us, when you are up a few points up on us in our house.. That is worthy of some abuse!

I haven't heard of any problems of rival teams wearing opposing team jersey's in Detroit. I will say outside of Philadelphia, you do not want to wear a Cowboys jersey in Washington during a Redskins-Cowboys game

Wear the jersey and support your team! You might get some crap, but at least your staying loyal to your team and showing your support. Philly fans are some of the worst to deal with.

I agree with theewokprincess.... philly and pittsburgh are the only two stadiums you should worry about.... but i mena just be prepared for a few drunk idiots to yell at you of course, but besides that no... but never wear an opposing jersey to a steeler game, especially browns/bengals/patriots... you will seriously be eaten alive haha

Haven't you heard... Detroit where the weak are killed and eaten!! ? Tee hee ha ha

You are going to be fine. Just like anywhere else, you will get the talkers and the ribbing but that's your choice to wear the opposing teams jersey.

Good luck, have fun and GOOOOO LIONS!!! ROAR..

Yeah, Lion fans are fairly tame.

Sorry about mobbing/beating your girlfriend... but if you don't wear green and black, you might as well head back.

Don't you remember what we did to Santa Claus, Troy Aikman, and Michael Irvin?

i'm sure it won't be as bad as philly. I got beer thrown on me at 14 years old for wearing my giants jersey to a phillygmen game there. those people have no class whatsoever, and i'd hope the people in detroit have more than none.
