He was suspended after Clemens hit Rios in the back. One game suspension. Clemens got 5 days.

suspended one game for altercations with Toronto blue jays. Roger clemens suspended for five games for altercation with Toronto blue jays. Arod got hit by a pitch probably for the stunt he pulled last time they played when he ran by the third baseman with 2 outs in the 8th and yelled supposidly "I got it" the third baseman dropped the ball and the yanks won. So Arod got hit by a pitch the other night, then clemens retaliated by hitting rios intentionally and was thrown out and suspended for 5 games. Benches cleared on both teams. Torre ran out, not sure what he did to deserve a one game suspesion

when benches are warn and a pitcher hits an oppossing batter then the manager is automatically suspended for 1 game and like roger his rios he is not managing tonight
