Alright we have a medicore manager at best and a GM that is suceeded because of young talent that was there before he came to L.A (Russell Martin, James Loney, Matt Kemp, ext) But now that we are starting to slip away in the race and we are missing two starters (Our ace Jason Schmidt and Randy Wolf) we just need a pitching rental and a veteran presence on the club. I dunno I think signing Boomer makes perfect sense.

Because he's sucks, if you can't score runs then what good is pitching, they need some bats in the lineup. Jason Schmidt is not your ace, it's Brad Penny and a good one at that.

While I completely agree that the Dodgers need another starting pitcher (because Tomko is horrible most of the time) I would prefer them to look elsewhere. If it is a veteran presence we need on the club, I don't think that Wells is the place to look for that. He is known for arguing with umpires and getting tossed out of games and he isn't all that great either. I don't have a better suggestion about who to get, but I would be more than OK if the Dodger organization did not pick him up!

As a padre fan, I must say that although experienced and accomplished Wells seems to have lost his "out" pitch which at one time was his curveball. With no life to his fastball and players simply waiting back on his curve, it becomes difficult for him to fool hitters, thus his high ERA and increasing loss totals.

I am not sure; considering how thin pitching is right now, you figure someone would have jumped at the chance of adding an experienced, winning postseason pitcher.

Thank you! I've been thinking the same thing ever since the Padres dropped him. I love Boomer, and he knows how to win the big game.

there's a reason the Padres droped im, he is old and can't pitch anymore. Getting wells wont help the dodgers offensively which is where they are weak.
