Thanks for your input. I am working on my dissertation for school on the various views and opinions of fans in regards to the sport of racing.

Of all sports it's the most doubtful that there are many if any gay guys in NASCAR.

Bill Lester (the black guy to run cup recently) had a tough enough time. Nazi-car fans wouldn't tolerate a gay person "invading" their sport!
Look what happens to Gordon at Talledega! That would be nothing compared to what a gay driver would have to deal with! Drunk REdnecks + gay people = Felonies!

Not openly. That would be career suicide I think for a driver. Some sponsors wouldnt support a gay driver and most fans wouldnt either.

WHY DO YOU ASK??? There are gay men and women everywhere these days. Some are just gayer than others. When I was a kid some 60 years ago, being gay was being happy and fun. It means something completly different now adays so I am no longer gay or queer or a hershey highway man, or a buttman lover or etc etc etc.

You have a few women out there on a few teams, so would you wonder or care if they were all lesbians? And if they were, would it really matter? And does it really matter if there are gay Nascar drivers or crew chiefs out there?

You might try a dating service to meet your lovers and have better luck. I read a report that gay bashers are really closet gays.
I prefer women but have several fine upstanding gay friends. More women than men. Cool

who cares does it really matter.....I am sure there is, I mean with all the people inthe pits..the odds just seem to say someone has to be gay..I am sure every sport has them but they are not out of teh closet.
