i have heard a lot about the .30/06 and everyone says its a great gun. i would use it for deer only. i live where it is a mixed landscape. parts of where i live are thick woods, but there are also a lot of open cornfields that i hunt on. lots of people have recommended a .270 winchester to me too, and i like what i hear. any ideas or thoughts?

Imagine a situation in a onedayer where the batting side needs 6 runs to tie off the last ball with the last pair batting.As the batsman comes forward the bowler deliberately bowls a wide and thus not allowing the reqd runs and the batsman gets stumped.Isn't it an injustice? If you think that the batsman desrves to be out then why stumpings are not allowed in no balls?

Alright alright. Simple. Red Sox or Yankees? But just for those who were raised in either Massachusetts or New York. It makes more sense. I used to be a big runner until about 10 years ago when I got injured and stopped. I have an expensive pair of running shoes from then that are barely used. My question is. Are those running shoes still good? i.e. Does "time" wear down the support materials in running shoes?
