No, He is at best a role player that has played on good teams. Has he made clutch shots? Yes , Does that make him a hall of famer? No. Never an allstar, never close to being the first or second or third option on his own team. Good player for the role he has. Not Hall of Fame material.

Hell no. Is Darko Milicic a better player than Karl Malone because he has a Championship? Horry has a been an alright player for his entire career. Yes, he's made some clutch shots. But you can't say Horry is a HOF'er for making the last shot when Tim Duncan has hit all the other shots. People don't get into the Hall for hitting wide open threes that were wide open because the HALL of Famer he plays with was getting triple teamed.

A clutch player not only as a shooter but also as defensive stopper. Like Jeff Van Gunday says, there should be a statistic for players who are able to draw charges from the opposing team. Robert Horry would be high in those numbers.

What was funny is before Horry came to the Spurs, he was courted by the Rockets, Mavs and the Suns. It shows not only is he smart in who he wants as his teammates but also it shows that good teams want him, when they could have anyone else.

Yes, he deserves to be in the HOF. I know he's not a great player. But, he is a work horse defensively and he always tries his best. He doesn't mind pressure at all and his toughness should put him in the HOF. I know he has limited offensive ability but for someone to say that they've won 6 titles with 3 teams is pretty amazing.

He has been a very good player for a long time, but he may need this to put him over the top: He's won six titles (this would be seven) for THREE DIFFERENT TEAMS. Titles with three different teams has been done by, I think, 10 guys in baseball, 7 or 8 in the NHL, and one guy in the NFL, Matt Millen before he became a fool executive. But nobody else in the NBA, except John Salley, and he was good, but not as good as Horry.

Somebody asked this a few days ago and I googled Horry's averages because I wasn't that familiar with what he'd done before he came to the Spurs. Unfortunately, most of them were single digits. So, much as I love to watch him shoot clutch 3's, I'd have to say no.

I would have to say yes. He's not a cancer in the locker room, he puts an effort one way or another day in and day out, and he's carved a niche as being a cluch performer. It seems very benign, but it takes a certain will and mentality to be able to do your thing at the right moment with a crowd roaring in the background, players running toward you, etc.

Like someone else said, he possesses the intangibles and has made a name for it.

no
... he may be clutch, but that's not what gets you into the HOF. sure, maybe a lot of clutch players have made it into the HOF, but that's only 'cus they have also been very amazing players and have made impacts....

Horry just hasn't made great impacts, has never been the main, real reason for a team's championship... and basically doesn't have what it takes

I think you cant possibly leave him out the hall...player play there whole lifes just to make to the finals (karl malone) and have a chance to win a championship. He's been there 6x ask any teammate of his...in the finals he was a major contribution if not the sole reason (LAKERS lol) they have rings.

i guess if any role player who is not an allstar or anything else really but a productive role player deserves it , it would be him. Its like saying does a soldier deserve a purple heart for dying for his country even though he is not a general?
