of course ricky ! Sachin's served d country 4 18 yrs now - i noe its soundin mello dramatic but its true - 2 throw sachin out , u first gotta luk 4 a replacement n play laxman more regularly - i dont see d new bunch , any of d youngsters , emerging as good or even half as good as sachin tOndulkar - i mean give him some time - he's got close to 80 tons in i'nl cricket and if sehwag gota as much time 2 prove his mettle , so shud sachin , c i respect ur views , but if u luk at it as a critic , sachin hasn't been so bad - i'll giv u my stats of d last few innings d maestro played -

Now those scores arent dat bad - lets see d average in one dayers only - it's about 47.75 n in tests - its 127 !! and man of d series . now c if ind go widout him , eng tour's gonna b a disaster coz der d ball rises n swings n u need experience players 2 handle dat - giv sachin a few more chances n he'll again prove himself d god of cric , not only in ind but worldwide , second only 2 don bradman !! hav a gud day n plz don't question SACHIN's ability again !! bye

yes i agree with Kris man if you are true Sachin fan than things like this should not cross your mind. I still think Sachin has lots to offer . And he is a smart man and he knows that he still has it otherwise he would've quit long time ago man. And my wish is that he is only 34 right now so should stick around till 2011 World Cup. And prove the world that he is the greatest batsman alive.

Considering his poor performance forquite some time, he should not have been in the team. However, he showed glimpses of his coming back to form in the Bangladesh Tour and hence deserve some more chances as he has still 2 to 3 years cricket left out and if he regain his form it will strengthen the team.

with out hesitation..pls make him retire...it is sad to see have seen him struggle on the pitch during the world cup.. it was embarrasing even...such a great athelte should not retire on such a low note...i hope he hits his final century( if he can) and retire...it's time to pass the baton on to younger players..
Ps: was a huge Sachin fan before ( but now..not at all):(

Why not?He has to be in the Indian team to score 0,12,21,22,1,31, 13,14,34, 32,11,6, and 123.

he got those injuries and slumps, but he is the best of the best when in form and he is in the2 new series because he finally says he will play.

i think he should be told to improve himself first and only then should he be allowed to play matches on an international level.
