If you think that the ground umpires will be useless then remember there are other issues like: wides, noballs bouncers sledging ball tampering counting each delivery of a bowler badlight rain etc.Remember it is not rare that we see a batsman being wrongly given out LBW orCAUGHT BEHIND.Often it changes the complexion of the game totally.

A small mistake can change the entire game.

Batsman should be allowed to appeal to the 3rd Umpire. It will bring more balance to the game and it can make the game foul proof.

But the same chance has to be given for bowlers too. If a bowler think that the umpire turned down a reasonable dismissal, he should be allowed to appeal to the 3'rd umpire.

The only disadvantage here is the time consumption for these referrals to 3rd umpire.

According to Law of cricket, if an umpire judges the batsman as out, the player should not show any emotions on that and should leave the wicket immediately respecting the umpires decision according to the code of conduct.
So, the batsman cannot appeal. Also, if every time the batsman appeal for every decision, the amount of time we lose is plenty.

This wont be entertained by ICC for sure...

Unfortunately there is no provision in the present laws to allow a batsman to appeal against the decision of field umpire to T.V.Umpire. If such a provision is included allbatsme who have been given out will appeal to the T.V.Umpire and the rule of field umpire will be nullified which is not at all in the interest of the game.

No, because going to the third umpire for every bad decision would prolong the game. It is already long as it is.

The other problem is that the tv may not catch things like swing of the ball or turn for LBW as well.

all humans do mistakes.
We must accept them.
International umpires dont give wrong decisions intentionally.
They are neutral umpires.
My opinion is batsmen should not be allowed to appeal from the 3rd.

your idea is good but not workable in limited overs match like 50 overs & 20-20. It can be tested in test match of five days. If every player in the team appeal for third upmire how much additional time required for a match ?
