Anywhere from $100 on up. A good Ruger 10/22 is about $150 at Wal-Mart.

You can start at Wal-Mart for about 150 Dollars and work your way up to some very pricey ones (obviusly not found at Wally World or retail outlets) to over two thousand Dollars.

It all depends on what you want it to do, and what you like in a gun (rifle I am assuming). You may check out the local pawn shops and newspapers for used ones, as well.

I have a Kimber .45ACP that cost over $1000, they make .22's that cost about the same for target shooting, and some cost even more. It all depends on what you want, and expect from it.

I didn't have to spend that much money on my .45, but I knew what I wanted, and what I was buying it for so, that's what I got.

I have seen some .22's at gun shows go for as little as $75. Average you are looking around $250 for a decent .22 like a Ruger or a Savage, Remington etc...

Like some have already said, check walmart for cheaper prices on good guns. The Ruger 10/22 is a good reliable gun, but i dont like it. I think it is normally around $175 at Walmart. A Remington 597 is cheap, and a good gun too. I got mine for $150 at Walmart. Savage also makes some good guns, and are cheap. Henry makes lever-action .22s and they are more fun than any semi-auto ive shot.

i have an old .22 magnum and it is in great shape and its probably worth close to $700. you could get a good .22 LR for anywhere from $100-$250. it all depends on how much you are willing to spend. the ammunition is not expensive and is easy to find at dicks sporting goods, walmart, as well as various sports mans stores.
