... to post earnest but heavily biased web sites that tell us "what we need to know" ...

... to (presumably) be so confident in your mandate from above to judge the state of 1 billion individual souls that you assert "Catholics aren't saved" and consider us a mission field ...

... why do you impose man-made limitations on the Holy Spirit?

What happened to the individual, personal nature of conviction and conversion -- which is His work -- that you insist must occur for one to be Christian? Regardless of your opinion of Catholic doctrine and practice, isn't it presumptuous to say that He does not work *within* Catholicism's structure just because you reject it?

Isn't it arrogant to dismiss an entire milennium and a half of His grace among us -- counting as valid only that which is evident outside the Church since the reformation?

Are you grieving the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:29-31) with your malice toward the Church -- and therefore all those in communion?

There won't be a Second Coming after all. I'm referring to Luke 17:20-21.

Was satan the first being to have the knowledge of good and evil?

When I was growing up, I was told some guy named Santa went from house to house delivering presents to young kids. Then later I was told it was about the birth of Jesus.
Now, everyone knows Santa does not exist, so why do people still lie about this to children? Not only that, it is for "good" kids! Kids now adays have no idea what being "good" means! I mean look at who raised these kids! US!! Are you "good"? I think lieing to our kids is terrible, even if it seems innocent! Sure, we all love getting gifts, but we can give gifts to whomever we want whenever we want! Why go broke, buying presents for one freaking day!?! It just seems like it would mean more, if I were to give my child a gift on some random day, just because they did something great!
Then there is the birth of Christ. Well, I don't think Jesus celebrated his birthday. It would be mentioned in the bible! There are only 2 birthdays mentioned in the bible, and they were not good stories! So do you think b-days are good?

This question is for people who think that evolution does not and has not taken place. If you don't fall into this category, please don't bother responding.

What evidence have you seen in favor of evolution?

What evidence have you seen opposing evolution?

Would any amount of scientific evidence convince you that evolution takes place?

Do you think religious authorities in general have a sufficient understanding of complex scientific theories to form well-reasoned opinions on those theories?

If (hypothetically) a religious authority (either text or person) that you trusted said that gravity did not actually exist, would you believe that authority despite having seen strong evidence of gravity?

Again, please only respond if you DON'T believe that evolution takes place or has taken place.

Why are those that are most similar (human - chimp for example) almost identical at the genomic DNA sequence level, those less outwardly similar (human - dog) less similar at the DNA level. Why does the degree of relatedness determined by genomic DNA sequence correspond almost without exception to the fossil record?

Why did God make genomic DNA sequences in different species similar at all? Is He trying to confuse us by deliberately providing such strong evidence for evolution by speciation through common descent?

Your thoughts please.
