I think the spirit of God is real. Why would i feel so good when i think of him or pray to him if his spirit wasn't real. We all believe in our own way. I believe each religion believes in their own way but it all boils down to GOD.

Yes, I believe he is. I don't know what your beliefs are, but here are a few validations from some previous arguments that have been raised from various sources. It is kind of funny to see the answers to some of the responses.

1. You can't see air either so does that mean air doesn't exist as well?

2. If paranormal investigators can get so much indisputable evidence on film, recorders, etc. showing apparitions and such, then isn't that enough to prove that there is another realm we don't see with the naked eye?

3. Many books contain written accounts from people who have never met each other, yet describe the same experiences. Some of these books include Angel Visions, Embraced by the Light etc.

You make an interesting question. This debate will definately continue for years to come. But I think the most important aspect of believing in something or nothing is that you stand behind your convictions regardless of what others think. If you believe in God that is great, if you don't that is great too because it is what you believe and again the answer is most important to the person asking the question.

The evidence is overwhelming.

Due to the fact that we are all here, obviously we all came from somewhere. Therefore...you must decide where we came from. Either chance...i.e. the big bang, etc. Or we were created...i.e. a god.

The first option is ludicrous to any functioning human mind....even if you say the big bang occurred, and we all came from sludge or organisms or dust....you must take it further and decide where that sludge or dust came from. Even if you take it all back to a singe atom...where did that atom come from??

The second option, though difficult to understand, is much easier to swallow. The fact that a supreme being (not of this world) created all things, is, I believe, much easier to take than the fact that we all came from sludge.

If you hold to the second option, that we were crafted by a greater being, then you must decide which being. There are many different teachings on this....many different books, and people, and religions. However, when you look at Historical fact and findings....you will find overwhelming proof of the Jehovah God of the Bible being the Creator of all things. No one, in all time, has ever been able to disprove even one point in all of the writings of the Bible. And just when they think they have found an error, they find proof that supports the Bible. Study....search for the truth. If you honestly look for the answers, they will be given to you.

Yes. Not only is he real, he is with you and he can come as close as you let him. He is the foundation of peace and love.

Evil is also real. You can see this everywhere you look. This is the foundation of war and hate.

Without these two elements, there would be no debate.

I think there is a supreme being and we all call him/her by different names. God Allah Buddha etc....

I think we are all worshiping the same "God" just in slightly different ways. If we are good people we will be safe after we die.

A good example would be this: In the tower of Babel God was angered and gave all the people different tongues (Languages), I think he also gave them different religions, they are all still worshiping the same God.

As a result we should all be accepting of any religion as long as it does not hurt others. The way Christians go after other religions and people who worship Islam go after others religions is stupid. Although you cannot blame everyone in any religion for doing it, many do and they should be ashamed. If they actually followed their religions teachings they would be good and let God worry about the sinners. The hatred is against what any religion teaches!

IMHO!

it is interesting to see the polarized views.

If you think for yourself then you must not believe in God. And if you believe in God then he made everything good.

And Thumbs up to the guy that said Atheists and musulims are bastards.... I can see God's love and tolerance shine through you. And If God made all the good things... he also made the bad things. So next time you thank him for the food you are about to eat... ask him "What was up with that hurricane that killed hundreds of people?"

I have NO doubt about this.
Many say faith is irrational. But they cant hide their prejudice.
I've read the lives of many inventors of the past, and 99% of them
were spiritualist of some persuasion.
Would you believe it if these same people said there was no God?

If i could direct your attention too:

http://zeitgeistmovie.com/
(you can stream it right from their site)

Zeit Geist Movie has a compelling intro based on explaining religion and it is incredibly interesting. I think it'll help you a great deal will making your mind up.

I do not personally believe in any god, especially after watching Zeit Geist Movie.

I suppose it is theoretical, but astrologically it does make alot of sense.

In this human body I can say no. Energy gives us all life to run this physical body..if God is everywhere then perhaps god is this energy. I think thats the only way I can accept some sort of beleif.

I most definitely believe God is real. There are too many things that wouldn't have an explanation otherwise. And I have prayed and been given answers to those prayers....there's no other way they would've been answered if not for God. He's been good in my life.
