Mike, the moon was once much closer (larger) and will soon be much further (smaller). That does, in fact, seem like a coincidence.

fanofchan, are you saying that the Bible is proof that creation is proof of God? Doesn't this seem circular?

It's in Romans - Chapter 1:20, 21 and 22A
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools......

They are saying they have never understood or known about what science can now tell us.... they are saying that they don't believe Darwin's theory of Evolution ... they are probably saying they believe people and the animals were created in the form they are today and that they don't believe in evolution. They are from the school that think that something complex had to have a designer. Creationists are now using the term Intelligent Design and are trying to say that this is science, There is also a Creation Museum in USA that are explaining to children everyday that dinosaurs were created alongside humans..... how absurd is that!

Thats from Romans 1
since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
Romans 1:19-20 (NIV)
Believe it or not---it makes more sense to me than evolution.
I am a retired engineer, at one time I could do the math. Can still do some. I have looked at this a long time.

If something exists, someone must have made it. That someone must be God.
Bloody stupid argument.
An interesting game to play is to see how long it takes for it to turn into a circular argument. My usual strategy is to point to snowflakes as something complex and not created by an intelligent entity. At which point they usually say that God makes snowflakes, thereby 'proving' the existence of God.

The argument goes there is nothing exsists without it being created. The computer you are using came from somewhere. It was created by someone. The same is true about everything you own. The car you drive the clothes you wear. They were all created somewhere. The same applies to the universe and everything within. It wouldnt be here if it wasnt created.

There is proof all around, the most visible is our sun and moon. From our view they appear to be the same size even though one is much bigger and farther away. Yes it is an optical illusion but a beautiful example of GOD's majesty. But the atheist will say its just a coincidence, but then the big bang and evolution theories relies mainly on coincidence. Praise the LORD

I think that particular argument is the "something can't come from nothing" argument. So that anything exists is proof of God, because it couldn't have existed forever, and couldn't have come from nothing. Those may seem like reasonable assumptions, but they are assumptions.

How do you prove your existence? Your drivers license? Your birth certificate? Your presence? God's proof is in His written Word, the Bible, His creation and in those who believe in Him. And most of all in Jesus Christ.

they are using the evidence that would exist if their claim was true to support their claim
edit: if only our public school system would start teaching logic
premise: if god created everything, then everything would be his creation
conclusion: since everything exists is his creation, he must have created it

They are using something unproven to prove someone unproven. Clever, no?
