Without looking up the verse and strictly by memory, it says, "Gpd drove Adam and Eve from the Garden in his Fury.
So that will be a Plymouth. (well, actually a lower case F is used in fury)

This a response to perpetuate the Moses and te Ark question.

I have read and re-read the Holy Bible...every time I get to the part about Peter going to Rome, I read the name Paul instead of Peter. I thought Peter stayed in Israel with his wife and family...Paul was the Roman citizen so was allowed to approach Cesar himself.

Good Morning one and all. A question came to me this morning as the how do we personally define God? I personally believe God works differently in everyone's life and has a personally relationship with each person, I thought it would be fun and a great learning tool to discuss our personal perception of God. For this discussion, please lets not use Biblical Text but our own understand of Who and what God is to each of us.

Has something like this happened to you? It is often most referred to in a negative sense by disbelievers and a positive by believers....But what about the opposite to this?

I have had experiences, not where I have been so down and stayed there that I thought god did not care (I suppose I am kind of agnostic, mostly, just to clarify) But where I have just for example argued for several hours about how god does not exist etc…. and then gone and had something really amazingly great happen that has changed my life forever…. It seems to me that most of these experiences are apparently totally random, and to link one to another is almost looking for something that is not there? But I suppose not in all cases….

Tell me about your experiences, about how you gained or lost your faith though a life changing experience, and how you linked it to god or a lack of god?

Who is or are the Anti Christs? 1 John 2:18 tells us there are many Anti Christ's. Was Hitler an Anti Christ? Does the bible not tell us Jews will be persecuted throughout history, Hitler did claim to be acting in the name of the Lord and at the same time murdered millions of Jews. The bible gives stern warning against changing the words of the bible. Yet the book of Mormon has been changed throughout the life of the Mormon church. And caught in the outright act of plagiarism. Was Joseph Smith one of the Anti Christs? Was Jim Jones an Anti Christ? Jones claimed to be Jesus, Akhenaten, Buddha, Lenin, and Father Divine. This coming from a man who used to sell pet monkeys door to door. The bible says Be on the watch for false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inside they are cruel wolves.Matt 7:15-16. What about David Koresh, he wrote the bible to suit his own needs, and claimed to be Jesus Christ. Who are the Anti Christs?

I just looked out of my window a few seconds ago and saw this hearse drive slowly by with a coffin in the back and all I could think to myself was "How sad for the friends and the family that they've lost their loved one." so close to what is supposed to be such a joyous time.

I for one will be praying that their sorrow and pain is made better.

It appears to me that some people spend a lot of time worrying about other people's sins. Since God says we are all sinners, does anyone have the right to judge another person's sins or deny him any civil right given to citizens in this country?

Jesus states that we must not judge other people, but Republicans have spent the last several years judging others...using their religion as a club to strike at liberals, at homosexuals, at the poor.

Shouldn't we be worried about our own sins, and not spend our time judging others? Since God loves us all equally, has it occurred to anyone that homosexuals are as precious to him as anyone else? How can anyone on this planet believe they have the right to do God's judgment for him? Aren't we supposed to live our lives, make our choices, and leave it to God to judge our actions? Since many scientists believe that homosexuality is a genetic factor, how can some people claim it is a sin, when it may be as genetic as eye color or race?

Have any avowed atheists lived a live of exemplary moral virtue and self-sacrifice, comparable to the many Christian saints?

There are two ways to win best answer for this question.

1. Establish that a person actually is an avowed atheist AND that he practiced exemplary moral virtue and self-sacrifice.

2. Debunk the claims of a supposed saintly atheist by showing either that he was not an atheist or not saintly.

Last night, I asked why people still die if praying for sick people is so effective.

I also asked why I should expect God to alter his grand plan for me when he doesn't for the thousands of starving people around the world. I got a few "countries why deny god brought calamity down on themselves" answers (which I think is a bunch of crap) and a few "You should do it for the comfort of the sick person" answers (which I agree with) in among the "You need Jesus" and "God doesn't exist" standards.

But lets say God does exist and has a big grand plan. Should you ever ask for things to be other than He wants? I mean, presumably, if it is happening, it is a part of the plan, so isn't asking for something that is happening to have a specific outcome asking for something that may not be in accordance with the plan?

In Wicca, they place great importance on not meddling with the free will of others - love spells, for instance, are generally considered a very bad idea. (continued)

If dragons never existed why does every single civilisation mention these beasts?
Why are they inscribed on walls(Babylon,Iraq), in churches, etc.
Why did Alexander the great (a man of respect to say the least,a man who knew what he was talking about)mention coming across them in India?
Why did Marco Polo(another man of high standing-and of education)mention in his notes that the emperor of mandarin,China kept dragons at his palace?
just a couple of examples there of people of competence and repute mentioning them, there's alot more for those that wish to really find answers to their questions

Admittedly, these movements pose potential threats to the church, but perhaps we would do better to look for the deception of the end-times where Jesus and the New Testament predicted it would occur: within the church, within groups that call themselves "Christian" but which actually preach a different gospel."

We agree. The apostasy that the Bible says will occur in the "end of days" is not something that is going to take place OUTSIDE the church; rather it is something that is going to take place INSIDE it. But how? - that's the question. To understand the dynamic at work here we must put what is happening to the church in a larger context. Too many people try to understand "last things" from only the perspective of RELIGION. But that's not possible.

There are other dynamics at work - political, economic and military dynamics - and all of them one way or another impinge on the church and the apostasy that is at work within it, transforming what we know as the ORGANIZED church into the monster the Scriptures say it will become. And one needs to be clear here: IT WILL OCCUR - as sure as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, and NOTHING will stop it! The Bible says:

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for THAT DAY (i.e., the day of Christ's return, cf vs. 2) shall not come, except there come (first) a falling away (i.e., Gk., apostasia - or the apostasy of the church) first, and that MAN OF SIN BE REVEALED, the son of perdition;

"Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God." (2 Thess. 2:3-4)
