It appears to me that some people spend a lot of time worrying about other people's sins. Since God says we are all sinners, does anyone have the right to judge another person's sins or deny him any civil right given to citizens in this country?

Jesus states that we must not judge other people, but Republicans have spent the last several years judging others...using their religion as a club to strike at liberals, at homosexuals, at the poor.

Shouldn't we be worried about our own sins, and not spend our time judging others? Since God loves us all equally, has it occurred to anyone that homosexuals are as precious to him as anyone else? How can anyone on this planet believe they have the right to do God's judgment for him? Aren't we supposed to live our lives, make our choices, and leave it to God to judge our actions? Since many scientists believe that homosexuality is a genetic factor, how can some people claim it is a sin, when it may be as genetic as eye color or race?

True. When Jesus was asked for advice about how to deal eith an adulterous woman, he said, "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". In other words, do not judge others, lest ye yourself be judged.

Jesus said not to judge others. People are sensitive and accuse others of judgment when they are just stating what they believe. If someone disagrees with homosexuality, then people think they are judging.

We have a right to speak out about what we think is right and wrong. We don't live in an all relative world. There are some absolutes.

As far as really judging and not just making a comment, God is the judge. He has the final say. He loves gays, too.

Jesus did not state that we must not judge other people. That is another lie perpetuated by the church.

What Jesus did say is judge yourself first, than you can see clearly to judge your brother.

Our judgment of others should be the mirror by which we judge ourselves. So, if we see something in someone else that we don't like, it is most likely because it's familar, that's how we recognize it, it's a "familar spirit," existing in us on some level.

Case in point: the male-male or female-female relationship.

If we are going to judge that we must make sure that we are not guilty of the same thing. And we have to look beyond the physical and into the spiritual.

"male and female" created he them. We are all male and female with respect to aspects or energy, and everyone of us engages in a male-male (spiritual) intercourse (spiritual sodomy) daily.

So remember, with what degree you judge another for their outward behavior, you will be judge by that same degree for your inward behavior.

OK so you're sensitive to gay bashing...few but the ignorant and self righteous continue to participate in such behavior these days...your question appears to be a political judgment...

Fact: Anti-homosexual behavior is not confined to political or religious affiliations.

Fact: Homosexual tendencies are known to be influenced in more ways than just genetics.

Fact: Social rejection of homosexuality existed many centuries before the beginnings of Christianity.

But thank you for reminding us that judging people for their lifestyles is wrong even though modern Western society is more tolerant than Middle Eastern and Asian cultures...

If everyone made whatever choice they wanted we would have anarchy.

God tells us to judge righteously.

You are sorely misinformed if you think people opposing homosexuality is carrying out God's judgement. I suggest you read the Bible a bit more to learn exactly HOW God indeed does judge sinners.

Scientists "believe" homosexuality is genetic, just like they "believe" evolution is true. It doesn't make it though.

Hmmm.... this sounds like a lot of non christians are "judging" Christians for being judgemental. Shouldn't you go about your life and not worry about what Christians believe?

I agree with you about judging people we can't see what's in their heart. Why, even Jesus sat with sinners and when someone asked him why he was with sinners, he said that this is why I came to call on sinners.

Mark 2:16-17....But the scribes of the Pharisees, when they saw he was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, began saying to his disciples: “Does he eat with the tax collectors and sinners?”  Upon hearing this Jesus said to them: “Those who are strong do not need a physician, but those who are ill do. I came to call, not righteous people, but sinners.

The only thing is of concern is that if a sinner continues to sin, how should we view them?

Do we say it's genetic and leave it at that?
Men having sex with young children may be genetic then what.

Isaiah 5:20.....Woe to those who are saying that good is bad and bad is good, those who are putting darkness for light and light for darkness, those who are putting bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

I don't judge. I just go by what the word of God says, and the Bible says in Leviticus that it is an abomination. I would never judge anyone for doing it. But I believe what the word says. And if you want to say someone is born with it, (which I don't believe) then that is why we all must be born again!!

That would be a fine day indeed - the day Christians shut their judgmental traps and let their God do the judging. How I wish for this day, never to hear the christian take on issues in society.

Seriously guys - how about it, just let God do all the judging - you can just sit back and feel smug and not say another word!

Agreed. Once I am perfect, I will begin to worry about others' "sins." I'll let you know if that ever happens.

I think that the rainbow is a good symbol for gays & lesbians, because it reminds us that God is reserving judgement; and therefore, so should we.

Yes, is it only God who has the authority to Judge.

However, He has told us that He abhors homosexuality as well as other sins. He has declared it to be sinful and we should not pretend otherwise.

However, Christians in particular, have a command to love those in sin as a brother and to try to reach them with the Gospel of Christ. That does not mean condoning their actions but it does mean acceptance of the individual without regard to those choices.

Hope that helps.
