Your idea of "Future" is entirely a delusion created by your mind (another delusion).
That is not as weird as it sounds at first.
Your brain is a great memory machine. Your brain recodes everything it notices as memories. It then uses these memories to create a model of the world. When you walk down the street you know what is around the next corner because you have walked that route before. Your mind has a movie to play so you are not surprised unless something you see is different from your memory.
The Dragon Illusion (Hollow Face Illusion) demonstrates how strong the model and delusion can be.

The brain also has the ability to play back your memories in edit mode. You can cut them, paste them, mix them up and even manufacture completely new ones. This is called imagination.

Sorry, I went off topic. Why believe in the delusion that the world, or the future exists?
You could live in the world as it is instead. I know we have to make some assumptions to function. We can not be checking every face to see if it is hollow, but it is just as crippling to try forcing the world to be only what we want it to be. That path leads us into being disappointed when it is not what we expect. It lead to cognitive dissonance and perceptual disconnects.
The future is not written yet, you might walk down the street someday, turn a corner and find yourself in Wonderland.
But at least let it be a real wonderland, not just wishful thinking.
We all are trying to make the world a better place, but our predictive ability is based on our memory systems. We tend to see the future as an extension of what we have seen in the past.

I do believe in a positive future. A future where we walk on streets of gold and there is no sin. A future where every knee shall bow and every tounge confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. A future where there is no sorrow, no pain and it will last for eternity. It dont get any better than that.

If you are asking why I believe in the bible it is because everything in life tells me that it is true. I see the suffering sin causes in people lives just like the bible says. The wisdom found within, the prophesys that it has predicted that have already come to pass, the archeology findings that confirm its truth, and the personal relationship I have with God all tell me that it is true.

As a Christian, I certainly envision a positive future. I hope to live long enough to see great advances in science, technology and medicine.

I firmly believe Our children are our future.

As a nation we must strive to provide children with a safe and nurturing environment. A stable family life so critical to children's sound development and ability to learn.

It is vital we invest in their health and education. In a country as rich as America, all children should have health insurance. Knowledge opens the door to success. More funding should go into our schools, especially for science and math programs.

We must become good stewards to the environment. So mankind will have safe and secure world to live in.

We should inspire our children the importance of respect. Sadly, this is a characteristic lacking in both adults and children

Wishing all a joyful and blessed holiday season.

Peace be with you

Positive attracts positive just as negative attracts negative. So all these thoughts that are negative do have a negative impact. I do try and think positively so I don't attract the negative to me.

Why "believe" in any future over any other? The future as you experience will be what it is. Of course, you can act to shape the future, but ultimately hoping or believing that the future will be one way or another is not enough to make it so.

I hear you, however, the truth is the truth. You can "envision" all you want but God is in control. We can all agree to "envision" world peace or whatever, but ultimately, God is going to do what God is going to do.

My future looks wonderful because I know Jesus and will spend eternity in heaven! It can't get better than that!

Believing something just won't make it so. The Bible is authoritative, being God's word.
The so called power of positive thinking does not work.
