Many people answer questions with answers like, well freedom of speech, they had the right to say it, you have the right to express yourself and so do they.....

Dont you think there are many times when someone might have the right to say something, but probably shouldnt, and if they insist on saying it, then they deserve the criticism back for it?

(please try not to use this question to just bash on people you dont agree with because you can state differences of beliefs or opinions in a respectful way that doesnt deserve criticism and those arent the circumstances I am talking about)

All Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and also IS God, being the 2nd Person of the Trinity, along with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is also the son of Mary. Now many Protestants are quite prepared to say "Mary, Mother of Jesus," but balk at saying "Mary, Mother of God." Why?

There is probably an element of cultural conditioning here. Giving Mary such a title like Mother of God seems too grand to many protestants. For centuries most protestants have tried to ignore Mary, and have avoided all talk and discussion of her - except perhaps to condemn Catholic "excesses". But this is a serious matter. To call Mary the "Mother of Jesus" and yet refuse to call her "Mother of God" is to diminish Jesus as well as Mary, for it is a denial that Jesus is truly or fully God.

The Virgin Mary is the Mother of ALL of the PERSON of Jesus Christ, and is therefore truly Mother of God the Son.

Why deny Mary as the Mother of God the son?

A Sudanese boy was crucified by his master after being enslaved by him. He was caught escaping to attend a christian church. Now, what really exasperates me is this HUGE emphasis people have put on the word 'Muslim' when mentioning the crucifixion!!!!

Who's the racist here?
Were they even practicing true Islam????

I'm Muslim and as far as I know hurting and killing people are two of our greatest sins.
I'm not supporting those sinners. I'm defending the boy because the Quran mentions you can NEVER discriminate against anybody because of their faith: everybody must be treated equally.

How could they be so hypocritical?
In the past, even people who were Christian commited crimes. Are we allowed to discriminate against you because your ancestors ****** up many nations and imposed their faith on other people????

NO. That's a sin in Christianity! To impose a belief on somebody else!
So we just say: They weren't true practitionners of Christianity.

The question is:

I contend that there will be quite a few unrepentant sinners who get into the Kingdom of Heaven. These will be thrown out. How can I say that with complete ease? Who can find the chapter and verse in the Bible? And who is brave enough to think about the ramifications of this?

we evolved from animals, well then how did 'WE' and not they come about having a 'moral compass'...Shouldn't they have had it first thus passing it to us?
We know animals do not- because of certain behaviors they exhibit without sorrow or remorse for what they have done ..
Example- one animal will eat another and the only thing it feels is 'full'..
A dog will chew up it's masters couch quite happily without remorse...
A crocodile will eat a human child and care not for the devastation it has wrought...so on and so forth...
We all know animals can be taught things and they can learn..From us - not vice / versa..
They have no remorse, sorrow or regret for thier actions , but we do...
And if you're going to say ' Well we developed that over time"
Rubbish - Men indeed would have gone extinct....
Legit , sound answeres accepted , trash will be kicked to the curb.

Christ created only one Church which was named Catholic at Antioch. St Peter was the first bishop of Antioch and St. Ignatius was the third having been appointed by St. Peter to succeed him there. St. Ignatius being the disciple of St. John and of St. Peter said that around the bishop is the Church.

Where in the Bible or in the early history of the Church is this other Church created by Jesus? I have studied this intensely for over 30 years and I can not find any evidence of this scurrilous claim. Is there any?

I ask this in sincerity: Those of you who are constantly asking this question or that question to support or rebuke one religion or another, do you gain something from it? Does preaching your interpretation of the Bible gain you something? Does rebuking another religion based upon your religious preference and its documents provide you with some kind of fulfillment?

I ask because, I read these constant arguments and I get that nervous, queasy feeling even though the argument has nothing to do with me and the quarrels bear no weight on my personal beliefs. I just wonder at the purpose of these debates.

I was watching a special on TV the other night, it was about a group of teenagers that were Christians, and they were going from city to city spreading the word through music and ministry. When they arrived in San Francisco they were met with opposition. They closed in on a Gay woman that was screaming at them over a barrier set up by police. She kept screaming "You don't belong here" over and over at these young people. Why would you suppose this middle aged Gay woman would scream at these children with such hatred, and what would make her think she has the right to tell Americans where they belong. I do of course realize the bible tell us man shall not lay with man. But we are also taught to be considerate of others as well. This was truly one of the strangest and most ignorant displays of hatred I have seen in many many years. If anyone can shed some light on this I would love to hear it. Thanks.

Can you see their insanity and madness which they portray and considered themselves " wise, smart and more intellectual than GOD ?
