I saw a sentence in the Bible written like this " I had pity and prayed for my enemies, but their words to me were harsh and cruel." I can't quite understand this meaning, could someone explain it in a more clear way? Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!!

in a nut shell this person prayed for his enemies and they still treated him in a cruel harsh manner.

People who stand and live for God will receive their share of hate simply because of their decision. It's a tragedy that people are hated at all, let alone for doing good. Let your light shine and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus Christ.

It means you accomplish nothing by loving someone who loves you back. God wants us to love our enemies.

he realised their lives were short and hold little hope so he prayed for them for some hope in their lives.but it didn't change the people from still hating.

Maybe its that just because you are nice to other people doesnt mean they are going to be nice back to you.
