A Sudanese boy was crucified by his master after being enslaved by him. He was caught escaping to attend a christian church. Now, what really exasperates me is this HUGE emphasis people have put on the word 'Muslim' when mentioning the crucifixion!!!!

Who's the racist here?
Were they even practicing true Islam????

I'm Muslim and as far as I know hurting and killing people are two of our greatest sins.
I'm not supporting those sinners. I'm defending the boy because the Quran mentions you can NEVER discriminate against anybody because of their faith: everybody must be treated equally.

How could they be so hypocritical?
In the past, even people who were Christian commited crimes. Are we allowed to discriminate against you because your ancestors ****** up many nations and imposed their faith on other people????

NO. That's a sin in Christianity! To impose a belief on somebody else!
So we just say: They weren't true practitionners of Christianity.

The question is:

Bad word choice. Forgive me.
How's:
What kind of stereotyping bastards are those?

If he wasn't a Muslim, it would have been:

'A master crucified his slave'
Or
'A person....

It would NEVER have been:
'A Christian....'

Doma, are you a Muslim? I've studied the Quran for 10 years of my life and I never heard that violence can be used like that.
That's called Jihad and you obviously know NOTHING about it. So go and read a bit. A sentence with no evidence from you reflects a very easily influenced character who believes in whatever people say. Give me evidence.

Doma, I suggest you read other translation. Because the one you have says nothing but crap. I know Arabic, Farsi and English and I checked a couple of those verses.

For instance, the one from The Cow is not supposed to say 'disbelievers'. It's 'people who suppress others' faith'.

did you check a web site for those quotations? Lemme guess:

You googled:
'proof for muslims being violent'
'quotations proving the fact that Quran embraces war'

To fearembo... you have no idea what you are talking about listen before you speak and then listen some more perhaps you could learn something . Yes that boy was the victim as you say and the ones who did this should pay in the same fashion thank-you for showing that even Muslims condemn the horrors done in the name of their religion ! If we could get the majority of Christians to feel the same way the world would be a better place . Please remember though not all people here are Christians and not all Christians are evil .

Quran Surah 2: The Cow
Kill disbelievers wherever you find them. If they attack you, then kil them. Such is the reward of disbelievers

Our recent history of the Middle East has no shortage of Muslim Leaders (ie: heads of state, clerics, etc.) invoking the Koran as a justification for violence. It should come as no surprise to anyone that a popular leader is popular because they have a message that people are attracted to.

You do not need a right wing lobby in the US to make the case that Islam is linked to violence. I applaud any free thinking member of an Abrahamic faith that rejects violence, but please do not pretend that the endorsement for the horrors of war from political leaders is not heavily laced with religious rhetoric.

Oh my God, that's incredulously horrible.

And that means a helluva lot coming from an atheist.

Really, what the hell??

It's wrong, regardless of faith.

We don't, and in a sense, can't, know the "truth," at this point.

To claim another is "wrong" without at least good reason is ludicrous.

No matter a persons belief they never have the right to judge others or crucify them in any way!

I am not sure what to think about your question. I don't know if you are condemning the killing of an innocent child, insulting Christians because of perceived failures of ancestors, or just ranting about your faith.

That is very terrible. But could you tell me how someone goes about being 'racist' towards religions? Religion is different from race.
