I think the question is a valid one when you define what a "good job" is. God redeemed the world from its collective evil via a horrific death on a cross and wants a personal relationship with each and every person who lives, despite his perfect nature and our constant evil. He constantly desires the best for every human, and is willing to forgive us over and over again, no matter what we do. To me, that's one heck of a good job!

And of course, as much as we may have our opinions of "how good God is doing", in the end, He is God, and our opinions are nothing compared to the King of the Universe

Now, if what you mean is "God is doing a good job regulating the world today", that's not exactly the way to look at it. God specifically respects the free will of every human, and thus allows pain and suffering because to do otherwise would be to treat us like small children or dogs or robots. We are free to choose, meaning that we are free to choose evil. So God doesn't "control" or "regulate" everything that happens in the world, He allows us to make our own choices and our own mistakes. Honestly, I think that could fall under "a good job" because it respects my free will as a person.

The terrible things that happen in the world are not caused by God, nor do they happen because God was taking a nap or eating dinner or anything like that. Even though it pains Him to allow us to suffer, He does so because He wants a real relationship, and a real relationship can only come from mutual trust and love. This mutual trust and love must be based on a choice, because without the ability to choose, our feelings wouldn't be real, they'd be preprogrammed.

I believe the question is valid, but how do you evaluate?
Personally, I think saying "God is doing a good job" or "God is doing a bad job" is equivalent to saying God's people are doing a good or bad job; because God has called us to be his hands and feet, his eyes and ears, to the world. If God is not doing a good job, it's because we, his people, aren't doing a good job.

Peace to you.

I am guessing you see evil and blame God.

satan is the god of this world temporarily this is why bad things happen, God has a plan of redemption to get it back. He is perfect and therefore He is doing a perfect job.

YHVH invites us to reason together. It is largely acknowledged that He is on trial (in some real sense of the word). I can see only from a very limited perspective, and would hesitate to argue that my perception of reality is adequate.
