Basically the Christian Bible tells us that homosexuality is a sin, the gay person should repent and straighten up.

I was wondering how many Christian women out there would be willing to marry a gay man. And how many Christian males out there would be willing to marry a lesbian. You know, to help them to be "normal".

They, of course, wouldn't be attracted to you, but it would solve a problem that a part of Christianity obviously cares so deeply about.

(For all you Christian women out there, who got their hopes up now: This is a hypothetical question, I'm not gay, and I'm not interested in marrying you, sorry)

It seems every religion I encountered, say you'll go to heaven or hell when you die, Buddhism said reincarnation. Do you really want to live in eternity? I think it's tiring to exist eternally don't you?

Okay, the past few years I was reading the bible regularly and praying at least once a day. But when I sat back and thought about it, I realized when I'm praying I've never gotten the feeling that God is listening. I would just feel like I was talking to myself and I was the only one hearing it. Why do I not feel God's presence? Am I doing something wrong?

From the book of Leviticus;

Holiness in Personal Conduct

"Never seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord." Leviticus 19:18

An Example of Just Punishment

"Anyone who injures another person must be dealt with according to the injury inflicted- fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. Whatever anyone does to hurt another person must be paid back in kind." Leviticus 24:19,20

Why does the Book of Mormon mention the following animals: ***, Bull, Calf, Cattle, Cow, domestic Goat (the Nephites claimed to have found the domestic goat!), Horse (the horse plays a major role in the Nephite and Lamanite societies), Ox, domestic Sheep, Sow, Swine, & Elephants non-LDS indicate that there is no evidence of elephants in the New World and the mammoth and mastodon of North America have been extinct for thousands years. None of these animals even existed in America during the era and timescale of Book of Mormon times.
Why aren't animals such as Coatimundis, Deer, Jaguars, Tapir, Monkeys, Sloths, Turkeys, etc.. mentioned when they were animals that existed? They were unknown to Joseph Smith, but later discovered to have lived here at the time the Nephites were supposed to have co-existed with them.

A child is meant to have a MOTHER and a FATHER, correct? This is why we stand against same-sex adoption, right? So, I want to bring to rise the issue of children growing up in single family homes, where they lack a mother or a father in their lives. What can we do to stop this pandemic in our nation? So we can stand for what's right, and what's moral!

I honestly think a person that is homosexual and a Christian at the same time can go to heaven. The reason I think this is because a sin is a sin in God's eyes, no sin is any worse then another sin. Also I think it depends on wether the individual acts on their sin, for example someone may have temptations of commiting adultery, but it depends on wether he/she acts on their temptations or not. Now some people may think that homosexuals don't go to heaven because they live in continual sin, but honestly, who here doesn't live in continual sin? We all curse, lie, steal, hate, and ect. We must all remember that cursing God is just as bad as the worst sin you can think of, at least in God's eyes it is. Now obviously I don't know all the answers, but I do believe God is a fair God. I think if one tries to change for God, God will bless them greatly and gladly accept them into his kingdom. I myself am not a homosexual, but these are my thoughts on Christianity and homosexuality.

Theists and atheist alike, would a newly developed civilization need to establish a religion or set of beliefs in order to function properly. This is just a question and I'm not challenging anyone's beliefs or lack of. I just need a answer to prove someone wrong.

This person also says, "The Ancient Egyptians were a bunch of waring tribes and the strongest one created the Egypt Gods to control the others under control. Without it, they would still be waring tribes in the desert."

Does one's religion or religious values lead to inherent goodness? Is one's ability to be "good" independent of one's religious manifestations?
What do you think?

Please, no rants, just an orderly, educated discussion.

my school is making me cut my hair because its too long. I realize that trying to keep my long hair becuase of some crazy religion is farfetched, but im desperate... also any thoughts on this plan would be helpful too. plan= join religion that requires no haircuts. Then when i return to school and the princepal tries to send me home ill just tell her that i cant cut my hair becuase its part of my religion. They then can not send me home due to my religious beliefs. my hair is saved!
