If you're a Christian then no, because Christianity grew out of Judaism.
I've never really understood why non-christians celebrate Christmas, the birth of Christ, although a great many do. Isn't it like having a party for an imaginary friend you don't believe in? I guess they don't want to miss out on the fun, but don't want to make the commitment. Personally, if you didn't like me or even believe in me, I wouldn't want you at my birthday party.

if your children know the story behind the Menorrah and the Christmas tree legend, then it would only serve to enhance their understanding of traditions, customs, and the human need for remembering important events to see both of them, and all of the other season-specific ornaments and decorations
take some time to look up the origins of holly, mistletoe, wassail bowls, fig pudding, yule logs, stockings, Santa Claus, reindeer, Menorrahs, dreidels, etc, and enhance your own understanding of your fellow man and his need to celebrate

I think it is a good thing to teach kids about all the different religions. The alternative is to not teach any religion, which is also fine by me.

I think it's great! My friend is a Baptist and her hubby's Jewish, so they celebrate both. My living room is African motif, so all the angels and Santa is black. My grandkids never ask questions about it, it's just Christmas to them!

i wouldn't think so. kids now aren't really taught the origins of the holidays, it's more about the presents and who has the cooler toys to show to their friends.
