I honestly think a person that is homosexual and a Christian at the same time can go to heaven. The reason I think this is because a sin is a sin in God's eyes, no sin is any worse then another sin. Also I think it depends on wether the individual acts on their sin, for example someone may have temptations of commiting adultery, but it depends on wether he/she acts on their temptations or not. Now some people may think that homosexuals don't go to heaven because they live in continual sin, but honestly, who here doesn't live in continual sin? We all curse, lie, steal, hate, and ect. We must all remember that cursing God is just as bad as the worst sin you can think of, at least in God's eyes it is. Now obviously I don't know all the answers, but I do believe God is a fair God. I think if one tries to change for God, God will bless them greatly and gladly accept them into his kingdom. I myself am not a homosexual, but these are my thoughts on Christianity and homosexuality.

Yes I am well aware of those verses that say those things, but I believe if one is willing to change for God, God will accept them into his kingdom.

I'm an atheist, but in essence, I agree.
Though "Heaven" and "Hell" are not a part of it for me, I believe that homosexuals and bisexuals are the same as everyone else.
It's not as if "all" of them are bad people. I'll admit, there are some "bad" homosexuals. But there are also some bad heterosexuals; there are some good, and some bad, of every orientation, belief, culture, nationality, race.. everything.
The orientation does not make the person; the PERSON makes the person. If they deserve to go to "Hell," they'd deserve to go there whether they are gay or not, in my opinion. And if they could get into "Heaven" if they were straight, I see no reason why being gay should change that.

My thoughts on Christianity and sin.
We are all sinners saved by grace.
However we cannot enter the kingdom of God unless we have been born again. That is in John 3:3.
If we have been born again we become a new creature, and though we may sin ocassionally we do not continuously sin.
That is from 2Corinthians 5:17 and 1John 3:9.
We do not ALL curse, lie, steal, and / or hate. I put all those things away when I became born again.

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. It has to do with trying to say it is not a sin-calling good evil and evil good-that the problem lies. It is not neutral any more then stealing would be simply because a person is a kleptomaniac.

I think your right. It is a sin, but is one that is forgiveable.Let's not judge, but rather let God do the judging.I think HIV was a condition that arose out of disobedience to God concerning homosexuality.Murder (premeditated) is a sin that is not forgiveable in the flesh.Why?. Because God demands that they be put to death and sent back to Him where they will face the person they murdered and answer directly to them and God.

I don't think that these Christian homosexuals go to hell, but I do not think as Christian we can say that it is okay for them to live in this state of sin, just as we can't be okay with a person being a pathological liar, theif, murderer, adulturer. We all sin and fall short of the glory of God, but just because we all do it doesn't make it okay. I think you are kind of saying this, but it is important to love the sinner not the sin. Thats my input, Thanks.

Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.

"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." 1Cor 6:9,10
"God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator— who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done." Rom 1:24-28
Jude 1:7 "In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire."
Heb 13:4 "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."
Furthermore Jesus said concerning marriage "at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’" of which he took as a precedent for marriage

Homosexuality is a lifestyle choice. If I choose to be a murderer knowing it is a sin in God's eyes is my hope of salvation (which is everlasting life...not false religion's idea of Heaven) that he overlooks my many many murders and me never repenting or trying to change. Homosexuals are not trying to change they are choosing to defy God on a daily basis. We all have sin (ie Adam and Eve) but that is why Jesus paid the ransom. Those of us that TRY to obey are the ones who have salvation in arms length!

Yes, as long as they have repented and ask for forgiveness. But they cannot continue to act on the sin of homosexuality.

And what if someone acts on those urges? If what you say is true than acting on those urges, is just as bad as having them. So why add that little detail? Why is a homosexual couple who "act" on their urges too be viewed as any different?
