The Catholics and the more liberal sects have such a great sense of humor. The fundamentalist seem to have traded in thier sense of humor. Do you loose it or something when you get dunked? I kept mine....maybe that is proof that I wasn't saved.....

Can you be a wiccan even if you don't have any genetic blood from your ancestors? I wanna practice magic and stuff.

Also is it against God? I love god and i don't wanna do stuff against him, but I also think it would be really cool if I can do magic and stuff.

Okay I have to admit a few years ago I felt "close" with God but now I began to realize some things and I feel like it's not that I don't choose to believe, it's that I Can't believe in God. So I have some questions that can hopefully help me with this. Thanks

1) If God is so great how could he punish Adam and Eve so harshly for eating from the tree? He made them experience pain and took so much away. Isn't this a cruel thing to do?

2) How is homosexuality so bad? I know the bible is against it, but exactly why is it bad?

3) How could the bible support slavery and stoning and such awful things?

4) If God is "all-forgiving" why does he send all non-believers to hell? This sounds like an awful thing to do! And isn't it his fault in the first place for not convincing them of his existence during their lifetime?

So if you could answer these questions that would be great!

It is detailed in the bible that Jesus will return for a second coming. Has the world now came to a stage where it would be right for Jesus to come again.

My question to you is: My fashion teacher is a Mormon, i know that they can't drink caffine because thats against their religion, but I was wondering if you guys celebrated Christmas. If not, well let's say a person gave you a Christmas present as a thank you. Would you accept that or is that against you religion. I know this is a silly question, but I'm just wondering, I have a present to give to my teacher and don't know if thats okay.

Jesus is merly a plagerized religous figure, There were religous figures with the same Story before jesus was "born"
-- Born on the 25th from a virgin--- dead for 3 days -- and then resurrected,
theres hundreds of other religous figures with the same exact story that were invented before jesus was... And Christian Historians only answer it seems to be is "the devil did it"
Some christians say "god put those there to test our faith"
No I think he put you here to test my faith..

come from nothing? Give me one( in concrete) example?
If I had a box and I store it away for generations with 'nothing' in it..And each generation that passed would get that box out and check it ...Would it still be empty ? or would they find something beginning from nothing start to form?
I think for generations to come there would only be without a doubt 'nothing' in that box ....
So explain to me 'something from 'nothing' again?
Wise answeres not stupid rule here.....

I asked my grandmother (Christian belonging to a Church of Christ) to attend the Christmas cantata at my general Baptist church where I will be singing a solo and as part of the choir. I also asked her to watch my children perform in the children's program and to witness their baptism. She said she could not attend at all if it was during her church's regular service and that she would have to ask permission to go if it was at a time her church was not in service. Ask permission? Why would the Church of Christ require its members to ask permission to attend the baptism of grandchildren? Is there something I am missing, I actually began to worry about her when she said this. I am hoping someone can explain about this. I don't know much about the doctrine of this denomination.

why , when a Christian tells someone what God has told them out of His word , they act as if the person said it of him self, ?
why dont you grab and torture the mail man or ups man, when he delivers you the mail, and its bad news or hard to face news?

that just makes the bible more and more true, people always hate the messenger , God called me to preach His word, thats my job, either receive it or dont. but i will not be accountable to any of you, please listen ,to Gods word, open your heart and receive the truth, God said faith cometh by hearing, so listen.
will you atleast consider to think about God and ponder and search for yourself if Gods word could be true?

Intelligent thought inevitably leads to atheism - pride has nothing to do with it, as far as I can tell. Agreed?

Alright all you christians out there. I've found a paradox in you beliefs. Here it is:

Jesus was born, preached a way of life, was crucified and rose again. In doing this he absolved all his believers of their sins. Ok, thats a nice story, BUT... Who killed Jesus? Lets say for a moment that it was the Pharisees and the Romans who were responsible. That would mean that none of this was in "gods" plan and that would also mean that it would be impossible for his blood to cleans anybody of their sins. However If GOD was responsible for the death of his own son, outright causing the circumstances of his death. Then the "dying for our sins" part might make a little more sense.

So christians which was it?

God is a loving being?
Or Jesus died for your sins?

Both cannot be true.

As an avowed atheist, I find this guy to be a complete idiot. If you're an atheist, would be offended if some one said merry xmas to you? or any other holiday? I would simply say "happy (insert holiday here)" with a smile. We need more love on this earth not more hate!
