The Catholics and the more liberal sects have such a great sense of humor. The fundamentalist seem to have traded in thier sense of humor. Do you loose it or something when you get dunked? I kept mine....maybe that is proof that I wasn't saved.....

So what if the jokes ARE about God? People bash and joke about my gods all the time. Hello..THOR? Comic books galore. But I can still laugh about it. The gods can take care of themselves.

don't judge all of us by some; I don't judge all brunettes as having superior intellect ; God gave us humor for a reason so we may laugh when people don't mind showing the world how little they know or if they feel the need to insult people with a few easy keystrokes behind a computer screen; people who don't believe fine but I am amazed when some continue to lurk about in a topic they want no part of and could care less about or could they; EGO, has an appetite that never can be satisfied, and is always hungry which is masking what is really emptiness within ones self ; too full of SELF ; the white elephant in the room that they choose to deny. What a joke that is.

Hey Christians..Look at this Buddy Christ doll, hahaha isnt that funny. he even carries a staff, hahaha
Hey Christians, Look! Its a picture of Mary dressed as Ru-Paul...hahaha
Hey Christians, Guess that guy in Colorado was a "fake" Christian right? hahahaha
Oh...silly Christians youre upset?..boohoo! Suck it up! You chose a delusion to believe so you deserve what you get!
See? Is that stuff really "funny"? Its like a bunch of schoolyard bullies who then taunt the person they were bullying of not "taking it as a joke" Its not a "joke" Its meant to be an insult, sister, please.
What about Thor? How close are you to Thor? Do you believe without Thor you would be a different person? Was Thor some guy they made fun of in comic books? I doubt he was, right?
See the difference?
This is a weak argument to use. And it shows weak character in my opinion.
BTW: I have a fab sense of humor and a quick wit, however I am smart enough to know what is a joke and what is not. Ya dig?

absolutely not- I go to an evangelical free church, which believes the bible to be the infallible word of God, but we have 2 Pastors that have an amazing sense of humor, and we laugh a lot. The only time I "may lose my sense of humor" is when the jokes become coarse and mocks God, otherwise joking is great fun- and even God can laugh.

You have to watch those dirty old baptist preachers they like to put women in sheer white baptismal garments when they get dunked. Sort of like a wet t-shirt contest taht explains a lot of the hooting and hollering during the baptism right they will never give up dunking (i mean the secret show)

Unfortunately to become a fundie they have to physically remove your sense of humor. I think they pull it out of your nose when they remove your brain.
But everyone else thinks your funny. And we totally understand that the devil made you start smoking again. He is such a meanie.

I'm Catholic, and my sense of humor is intact. Warped, but definitely intact.
Did you hear about the psychic who was upset by a convention of scoffers and paranormal debunkers, so he decided to attend and protest? He filled out the paperwork and was ready to pay for his convention membership, but the person at the desk refused to let him join.
"Why can't I attend this convention?" the seer demanded angrily.
"I'm sorry, sir," the woman shook her head. "We're a non-prophet organization."

lol. I was baptized, and I like to think I have a fairly decent sense of humor. I'm definitely not easily offended.

god made u how u r so don't worry about being changed and no that does not happen when you get baptised. I have been baptised and nothing about my personality has changed one bit. It may just be my personal experience but alot of the fundamentalist people i have met are often hypocrites or cause they were raised that way by their parents. but no your sence of humor will not change when you get baptised so get baptized and don't worry about it.

Hahah, definitely in some sects. Christianity is varied, On can say it's foolish and false, and be right about one sect or another. One can say it's inspired and a real force of improvement in the world (Mother Theresa, Chardin) and be right about another sect of it.
