I do mean that for all users. Seriously.

When I was a young college student, I was a charter member of the San Francisco Bay Area Mensa chapter in California. I helped to establish the questions for admission.

The perks, then, was that it was a great thing to put on your resume for job applications.

Also, after a few years, we members were established in a variety of occupations and career fields and we called on each other for advice and favors. Kind of like the Tri-lateral commisssion, except on a smaller scale.

I have asked a few Mensa type questions on this site, and I was very impressed by the high intelligence level of the R/S regulars here.

I am just an old 64 year old man, but I appreciate the wide variety of intelligence demonstrated by these R/S regulars and some of the newcomers who are bringing us bright new ideas and viewpoints.

But as "Got-Air" has noted, "sometimes we have to sift through the garbage to get to the good stuff" - "Got Air"s avatar is a puppy-dog. How did you like his observation and ironically appropo remark? (considering is avatar).

I'd do it if I were pretty sure I could pass the test - but the boundaries of who they let in change based on who's taking the test in your area - you have to be in the top 2%

The perks are basically only that you get to attend social events with really smart people... if that doesn't appeal to you, there's no reason.

Usually they just show off how fast they can solve a rubik's cube or a crossword puzzle - it's all a big competition :|

I qualify, it isn't against my faith to join, the perk is you are a card-carrying genius that can attend genius meetings. I don't bother with clubs or groups anymore, I prefer to be my own person.

After encouragement from my good friend KitKat, I've decided to officially form "Retarsa" for all of our extreme fundie friends. They deserve a little club too...

Not against my religion but against my beliefs.
I need no recognition or club.
I know who I am and what God expects of me.
